What incredibly sad news. Even though I've never been there myself (I'm from Northern Germany), I've always followed your "weirdly funny" channel and the incredibly friendly people around you. This place was a manifesto to wakeboarding culture. Why such good space and spirit is lost is a mystery to me, but there are certainly good reasons for it. May a new good place arise for you and all the people who have found themselves in it in the future. I am with you. Stay safe and hopeful 🤙🏻

lads feel free to delete if this is private info, but I've heard (unconfirmed) that there was a tragic accident in the aqua park area and management couldn't deal with legal issues that came with it. the cable is also going to stay as well, under a new name? just a rumor idk
Correct there was a tragic incident on the beach area last year. The council have now prevented Liquid from running any operations (boats, aqua park etc) and therefore they can’t afford the lease or costs involved in running the site 💔
Damn. Only been here once for a camp, but was definitely planning on coming back as it is by far the best park I've ever ridden. Pretty sad to see it go even as a Dutchie from abroad. Well, glad I had one good week here!
I love wakeboarding, can someone tell me if it's open in the summer this year and next? I'm moving to slough and so excited to come ride here. I used to ride at jb ski at a youngster and can't wait to get back in to it. Please tell me this place is staying open???

Hey Rich, at the moment we’re not fully sure. We know Stu the owner has a lot of passion and motivation to keep the place open but currently we believe it financially isn’t possible due to the circumstances. All we know at the moment is that it is closing and we have no idea what the future will hold. 😢
@@ThePeacockBrothers I see, I'm guessing water arena rental is too expensive I bet (some people are greedy as funk) but still if I compare it with other cables, depsite high arena rental as a whole they're making fortune damnit! This sport is still expanding everywhere and now Liquid Leasure wakeboarding hub is closing, that stinks! Hope situation will turn around, otherwise I do not understand anything now.
A little girl drowned a year ago at the aqua park. The park had to close down the aqua park and the beach. So they lost a lot of revenue. Plus they are likely facing a lawsuit and may be difficult / expensive to get insurance now that a death has occurred.
