- Matt is out on a windy afternoon duck hunt. It wasn't long before ducks started working in and when they did, they decoyed right in. So fast that Matt couldn't see them until they hit the water. It ended up being a great day of hunting as mallards and other ducks came right into the spread.

Still me, Roro's (Rodolphe ROGER) just moved to North Carolina in April from Normandy (yes, I am French, nobody is perfect!) Your videos had kept me on my toes to be able to try to do almost exactly the same as you: efficient, modest shooting but sure, not in the performance of the full bag all the time, your success is on being so well hidden that they land over your decoys and worked so well... No blasting bismuth all over the sky! Keep delivering moments of pure nature wildlife (the seven swans, the passing by deer, and all the different ones in all your others videos!) Keep the good spirit Matt, merry holidays and Happy new year to come around your blinds and decoys spread!

Nice job Matt. Love hunting creeks/rivers with a decent breeze or current giving those decoys some action. Use to do it a lot more with my drift boat, miss it. Do you ever just float a river? Need a spot with a shuttle or buddy at the pickup, but always enjoyed that.
Thanks! Can't really do that in areas I hunt. Privately owned and touching the bottom with anything results in a trespassing ticket.

Northbof squaw creek we slammed em yeaterday. Nice big packs of 25-40 mallards coming down the elevator real fast. Group after group after group until about 11:30 am. Then today: complete trash but still nice to get out.

Is that the same canal that you've hunted in the past, just a different spot. Those swans were a site to see, we have 70-80 around DeSoto Bend NWR that will come by in small groups seemingly just to say hi and make a guy genuflect in his blind.Lol

We have swans in my area and you have to be drawn for a permit so he either didn’t apply for one or didn’t get drawn I’m assuming
Swans are protected in Ohio. Check your local regs or call your game warden to verify.

Those mallard feet are orange. I think you might be colorblind
It was just the lighting. Check the end of the video. Unequivocally what are referred to as "red legs" on that drake.
I mean you both aren't wrong. I get the "red leg" moniker and the history of the phrase, but if you held up a leg of a late season mallard that is full of hormones for the breeding season next to a color palette, them legs are gonna be closer to orange than red every single time. That leg on the video is kinda in between, definitely not Husker red, but not Tennessee orange either 😂. I'm just here to stir the pot 😂
