Hi, everyone :) Welcome to my channel :) I compile videos/clips from Chinese eating shows on Douyin & Kuaishou, which are Chinese social media platforms. Chinese mukbang is also known as 吃播 (eat and broadcast).
For those of you who are curious, - I’m pure Chinese, but not from China. I’m Malaysian Chinese (my race is Chinese, but my nationality is Malaysian xD. Basically, my great grandparents resided in China, haha). The Chinese foods in many Southeast Asian countries are actually very similar or even the same, as that in China (considering that Chinese food all over the world once originated from our Chinese ancestors who lived in China 😊) BUT having said this, I do not know everything about the food in China as I was not brought up there. Sometimes, dishes when carried overseas have evolved with richer/adapted flavours and new ingredients. Furthermore, China is a very big country and there are a variety of cuisines eaten by many different minority groups in China itself. Even foods differ when comparing northern or southern Han Chinese. (e.g. Chinese living in the South may not have tried sweet zong zi, whilst those in the North may not have tried salty zong zi;; Chinese living in Guangdong would eat dim sum very regularly whilst those living in other parts of China may not have even tried it). So do feel free to correct me if there are any inaccuracies in my explanations/descriptions of the food.
I also translate the captions/provide English subtitles for those of you who do not read/understand Mandarin. But again, the Mandarin language in different parts of China differ slightly (in both writing and speech), and it also differs a lot from Mandarin that’s been adapted in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, etc. The Internet slangs/idioms/phrases used by the mukbangers may sometimes be less familiar or less commonly used where I’m from. However, I try my best to convey what the captions/descriptions of the food given by these mukbangers are, so I hope you like the translations! 😊

Its 'made based on real life' in the sense that they're meant to be humans but a lot of what happens in anime doesnt hpn irl. Nhưng thật không may, ở các cửa hàng, nó rất nhiều hóa chất và hương vị không ngon như ở nhà hàng (nhưng ở nhà hàng thì khá đắt haha) nên tôi thích nấu chúng ở nhà hơn! Same! My favourite instant noodles is Spicy Fire Noodles and also Pedas Giler❤️ I love spicy food and also have a high level of spice tolerance xD. (我是个无辣不欢的人) 😅 I always eat noodles with poached egg. and i think its a good combo for me. I always wanted to try unagi but its too expensive and im still a student so i cant afford it😂😭 Is the sauce on the unagi similar to teriyaki sauce? cuz it looks like it hehe. Btw, i love the slurping sounds. Thank you so much for making this video❤️
High five! I love spicy instant noodles! But alot of times, the noodles are branded/labeled as 'spicy' and I don't find it spicy at all.. it's so disappointing LOL. (So I add my own cili padi or chilli oil 🤣). In general, I like Mamee more than Maggi actually, but Pedas giller is definitely my fav among the local instant noodles bc its spicier 😆. Ooh yes, for me, poached eggs with soup instant noodles and fried eggs for dry/fried instant noodles! I've always loved unagi even as a kid! But because my parents pay for the food when we go to Japanese restaurants HAHAHA, I've never bought myself before 😆😆 it's indeed quite expensive here. Umm teriyaki sauce and unagi sauce tastes a little similar because they're both sweet caramelized soy sauce. But teriyaki usually has ginger in it while unagi sauce has Japanese wine (I.e. mirin or sake) so they're a little different 😁

Which version of the noodles is least spicy? I have horrible heartburn from anything spicier than a jalapeño but I want to try this so badly 😭
Im not sure if all versions are available where youre from, but in Korea, theres a 'Light' version which is basically made for those who cant take spice well and prefer a milder version. I havent tried that before though as its not available here in Malaysia where I live. But for me, the flavours that are least spicy and also relatively easy to get would be the Carbonara ver (pink packaging) and the Black Bean ver (but this one tastes very different from original fire noodles)
I’ll look around and see if I can find the Black bean noodles, I live in the US so I might have to order them online but I’ll def try to find the light ones and see if I like them! Thank you for the recommendations! ❤️
I have a pretty good spice tolerance i think haha (i deep my jalapeños into sriracha as a snack) and it's hard to pick one... I'm always disappointed with the 4 cheeses or carbo cause it's not as sharp as the original but it doesn't hold to their title haha

Haha, same! I love everything with some spice! Ooh, jalapeños with sriracha? I've never tried that before but it sounds like something i would love to snack on xD yeah, exactly! I think the carbo and cheese flavoured Fire noodles don't have that 'kick' that I like.. oh, yeah I've tried the curry flavoured fire noodles! It's available in my country, Malaysia too :) the curry taste isn't very strong though 🤔.. I'm not sure,, maybe because Southeast Asian curry is very bold and flavourful, I feel that curry flavoured noodles should have a much stronger curry taste 😆. And omg ikr,, I feel like many people assume any cream pasta is 'carbonara' 😅. Also, rosè sauce is actually a creamy tomato pasta sauce made with pureed tomatoes.. but I think many Koreans consider any red cream sauce as rosè sauce HAHA

YEAHHH I love noodles !! The most popular noodles here are Chinese noodles! But unfortunately, in stores, it's very chemical and the taste is not as good as in restaurants (but in restaurants it's quite expensive haha) so I prefer to cook them at home! I've never heard of "Unagi" but the texture looks fun lol😭!
ME TOO!! I like to add eggs, chicken in my noodles because I like my meals to be complete and not just good, you know? Their noodles look SO SPICY O-M-G !! ☠️ I am very familiar with spices because I am of Algerian origin and many of our dishes are spicy! I don't know if you know the "Harissa" which is VERY famous chili paste in Arab countries !!
But I know Asians LOVE spices and all their dishes are literally FIRE haha I LOVE IT😭! But I'm afraid to burn my mouth if I eat their noodles haha! My mother had the FEAR OF HER LIFE when I was little and I ate a soup with chili and I stopped breathing it was so spicy☠️🔪,I can tell you that my mother has seen me close to death more than once lol😭 my poor mother ... I think it's good to add cream to the noodles !! It actually brings a sweet taste, it soothes the spices too! I like to put cream and lemon with my spicy noodles if it's too much! What is your favorite style of pasta too? I LOVE creamy salmon pastaaa 🥰 !!

Oh, I can imagine that Chinese noodles may be expensive in many non-Asian countries! I studied in the UK before and whilst I was away from home, I would crave for Asian/Malaysian/Chinese food and noodles, but its so expensive to eat Chinese noodle dishes there! Yes, I've tried Harissa! I think it was used to season chicken wings and roasted vegetables in this restaurant that I went to 😄. I've also tried harissa sauce as a salad dressing before 😁. Haha oh noo, you must've gave your mom a heart attack back then!! I ate spicy food as a kid too 😆. I was 3 years old when I fell in love with 'bird's eye chilli' (aka. Cili padi in Malay language) 😆. For asian/Chinese style noodles, I love it extra spicy and savoury with chilli oil or spicy soy sauce. And For western-style pasta, I like the cream based ones more than tomato sauce-based pasta! I agree that adding cream makes it really deliciousss. Omg we have the same favourite cream pasta! I love salmon cream pasta 🤤🤤. Gotta add some lemon juice to make it taste a little tangy too 🤤. I also like chicken Alfredo pasta and cream pasta that has lots of mushrooms 😋. LOL omg, Medina.. Next time when you marry your doctor in the future, please film a mukbang with him and start a TH-cam channel for the both of you! I will subscribe, like, comment and share 🤣🤣🤣.
