With pleasure! We would love to make such video but it takes time to do it properly! For now I suggest you have a look to the Database studio component that lets you edit databases using AgGrid under the hood: www.windmill.dev/docs/apps/app_configuration_settings/database_studio
Does it have a way to execute php scripts? We have lots of existing code in PHP and perhaps we can bring it all together here. Can it also generate APIs directly from a database with crud operations and roles/etc ? IT would be a nice feat.
Hi! Php support is coming in a few weeks :) As for the API from databases, you can build script and flows that interact with databases and generate webhooks from them. You can also set custom role-based permissions. Check www.windmill.dev/docs/core_concepts/webhooks and www.windmill.dev/docs/core_concepts/roles_and_permissions
My only complaint about windmill is it expects devs to adopt a new workflow rather than using the script language package management. For example, a js developer is familiar with the package.json, and python developer is familiar with the requirements.txt and setup.py files.
Hi! Through its CLI, Windmill provides tools like the `wmill script generate-metadata` command to help include dependencies from package.json or requirements.txt directly into your script's metadata, making it easier to adapt to Windmill's workflow while still leveraging familiar package management files. www.windmill.dev/docs/advanced/local_development
