I used to play this game a lot as a kid. I always found the rules confusing, though. Truth be told, I hate the brain drain even today. You are both skilled and humble. I like that.
At 22.53 you see the bat fly out of the screen and screech. If you had pulled the trigger on the gun at that point you would have gained a 50 million bonus. As you missed it, the machine called you out with the comment he's as blind as a bat!
Love the tutorials Bowen, hope you keep up doing them for all machines! Amazing skill as always, never seen one get two Forever jackpots in one game before and I've owned BF and seen thousands of plays on it. A few things that I feel worth mentioning about this game (that I also commented on when the Buffalo guys did their tutorial of BF) is that when you start the multiball with the cannon it will give you a four ball multiball with a higher base jackpot value of 75mn (yes, you can build it up further by hitting the question marks at each ramp while they are flashing). The other thing is that with bonus being so high, it's a viable strategy to just go for bonus. Bonus is based on three things, ramps (1mn), mode starts (3mn) and cannon shots (5mn) so with 20x bonus (one of the random awards), going left ramp, right ramp over and over is not only worth 20mn every time you make the ramp but also relights and loads the cannon which at 20x is worth 100mn in bonus. So basically, you can blow this game up by just hitting the left and right ramp if/when you get the 20x random award as the “skill shot”. I find this the safest way to get high scores, it’s not as fun as going for the Forever mode but I would have loved seeing you try it.
I would also add three things to the tutorial,(it was very well done btw) The easiest way to get to your side flipper is going up the center mini ramp, it feeds the side flipper nicely and is much easier than going all the way around the left orbit. You can get double the batwing awards by going through the the right inlane and comboing into the the left ramp while the batwing is lit, (I think it lights the batwing everytime you hit the right ramp, but not 100% sure on that) Once in the batwing hit one of the lit targets for 10 million if not doubled, 20 if it is) The last point is once you have completed all the modes, the top left saucer, (the mode start shot) will spot one of the objectives for the FOREVER mode. So if you have only one of the heads completed it will spot one of the targets, or if you havent completed your bat signal shots it will spot one of the targets until you have gotten all the goals for FOREVER completed. You can also start FOREVER mode from the plunge if you choose Gotham Event at the start of ball and you have already completed all the goals. Just a little more info if anybody was interested!!! Good to know that, even on a perfect-working machine, the flippers still have problems getting the ball clear around the ramps and loops. I had figured the machines I played on had suffered wear and tear and that the flippers had become weak.
The game looks like fun, especially played by Bowen, but there was a lot of high value shots made that just didn't register and that the missing ball at the end ...wasn't fun.
Fantastic tutorial. This game seems a lot more interesting and enjoyable than I originally gave it credit for. I'd definitely like to track one down to put more time on it.
@Spencer O'Neill You can dial these in with the correct rollover switches. The problem is the speed of the ball going over the orbit and return to side flipper causing it to not register. So Replacing those 2 rollovers and your golden!!!
Very nice tutorial as usual, i like them a lot!. Wish that pinball was a bit bigger here in the Netherlands... I wan't to play, have fun and learn a bit so maybe i can compete in a tournament. But the nearest place with some pins is like a hour driving for me and only open in the weekends. Like your style Bowen, keep at it!

Hi, I am writing from Chile, I have 2 questions, I hope you can help me. 1.- how to get that initial menu out in the selection of the regular rules or minutes ??? it doesn't appear in my pinball 2.- there is something to do so that it is not so difficult to get up the main ramp that connects to the batwing, there is something to modify in the coil or paddle ... is the pinball definitely like that? or mine has something wrong ?? Did you try to put an action cam instead of the big camera which is close to the flippers ? It could be less uncomfortable, you could fix it directly to the machine and the angle of view would be wider !
This pinball unfortunately also shows the bad things about Sega, Data East, etc. games: They built in a reeeeeally large display... and what do they use it for? To display "INSTANT" and "INFO" in two seperate screens!? Why? Plus these extreme large score fonts in single player are as always ridiculous looking. What where they thinking?
