My family gets mad at me because I get angry if I don't get to put my music on early enough in the morning. I get in a very bad mood and it just ruins the whole day for everybody.
(Apologies in advance for the long read I try to keep this short and simple but more importantly than that I want to help in some way)
Douglas I wanted to take some time to offer you some words of encouragement and I hope to help you reach a form of understanding on things. I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you are facing. I hope you and your family can sort things out and from what I've learned that starts by just talking to one another with an honest and respectable manner. Even if they don't respect you, do not and I mean it, do not be tempted by anger to say the wrong things or do anything spiteful. I am no family therapist when it comes to solving family issues but I have had several front row seats to witness family meltdowns and loving bonds torn apart in seconds (especially over stupid things). Anger at times may feel like a backbone or spine that gives you a boost or some form of support, however that in several cases can tempt you to into fights that emotionally hurt others or will leave you emotionally paralyzed. I would like to clarify this is not me trying to tell you what to do, this is more expressing in experience that its not worth it to be angry. I know music is such a amazing thing to have and I love listening to it and working on it loud. I have caused complaints with music and even now I am careful about it cause I choose to respect my neighbors and I choose to stop having senseless anger or arguments. And living with family its even easier for it to cause problems. I was too ignorant at first to understand it but often times when we want things to go our way it can take away from others without even realizing it. I'm sure there is music or even sounds out there that you cant stand to hear it would probably be annoying if someone right next to you just blasted it in your ear out of nowhere. The point is you don't need to give up the ability to listen to music but living with family, neighbors or even roommates you got to respect their space as well. Once you get a place of your own you can do as you please. So if you don't have headphones that would be a good start is to get a pair of those. I even have gotten earbuds that are actually great quality that can get really loud. If you only have speakers at the time being then maybe choosing a later time in the day instead of the morning and at a controlled volume might be the best I know it will suck but if it means stopping some tensions from rising then it may make the day better for everyone and more importantly I want you to have a better day as well.
