9:30 this is a rendering glitch. I don't know for sure, but my current theory is it's because when a player spirals, they contract. A body is likely composed of segments a short distance apart which follow each other, so if two segments end up very close to each other and not moving (such as when a spiral has fully contracted) then the segments will "freeze" for as long as the spiraled segments are in that close position with each other (due to the segments not wanting to get too close to each other). However, client side, snake motion is interpolated, so forward motion appears to continue client-side while server-side, the segments are frozen in place. Later, the skin "jumps backward" as the spiral unravels and all the segments shift to compensate. I haven't tested this in littlebigsnake so again, I don't know for sure that this is the cause, but I have observed very very similar behaviors when creating games with segments which follow each other.
