The mod creator has said in the future they are going to potentially add features for an in-game controller cursor, and co-op support. As Well as support for mouse bind changes. *Edit* - Right click on the mouse was made pickup before I posted this video (you still can't manually bind mouse buttons yet but right click as pickup and left click as throw is very nice as a default.), along with a few mod options in the mods remix menu which help co-op players. I came up with, recorded, and wrote the script for this showcase a few weeks before I posted this video and before this mod was updated. So, I apologize for anything I got wrong or didn't know about in the video. More Updates are coming to this mod, and I'll share them here as I see them on the workshop! Make sure to give your love to the mod developer, Demo, by checking his stuff out on the steam workshop, they're a very nice and helpful person. i'll wait for that hehe but surely is comfier to play with that mod at keyboard. i'll probably keybind it like -left click, for actions -right click, for eating - E, for equiping or take stuff i belive thats a comfy way.
I once had a scavenger in arena mode throw a spear almost directly upwards and kill my friend so I can confirm they almost definitely have this skill already
They already can whenever they try to deflect spears, they basically just throw it in your direction no matter your height. Not really a problem in vanilla since you can only throw up down left and right.
I've tried it and it conflicts with a few of the mods I use such as the mod that lets you throw spears with saint, also it's a bit frustrating to get used to, but its an option

Aim helper is another mod on steam workshop and i personaly find it better to use scince it gives you more directions but alsow allows you to lock onto your enemies, going underneath dropwings and stabbing them as they fell has kinda become a hobby for me. Though this will make so you hate batflies more than life itself, the amound of times a batlfy drew my aggro and made me chuck a spear into oblivion mid-combat is rather embarrasing
If you've ever played Super Fighers Deluxe, it has the aim system where you press C to aim, and use the up and down button to adjust your aim both up or down with a little box held close to the player as your only means of really being able to aim. It's a pixel game like Rain World, and considering just how similar both are with random chaos, it may fit rainworld more. Additionally, in that game, you can only shoot left or right while in motion, but pressing aim brings you to a stand still which would balance it out similarly in rainworld keeping the game to a keyboard only experience like the original developer's intent.
Looks fun, I think canonically the reason we can’t aim great is because of our stubby little otter arms. It’s probably why scavs have better throwing arms, they’re like tribal humans

It does have online multiplayer! Although you need a third party app and 2 mods. The third party app is called parsec, you might have heard of it but its really simple to set up and use, literally just the click of a button. The first mod is JollyCoop, its a coop mod as the name suggest and it works both on arena and on campaign, it has a few tweaks, and im pretty sure you can turn on slug combat in the campaing. (This mod also works with the downpour slugs in the default campaign, but custom campaigns are not suported at the moment, though they are working on it) The third mod isnt necessary for things to run but it might as well be, and its SplitScreenCoop. Its a mod specifically made for Jolly so it works wonderfully most of the time. Just a warning though, i dont know if this might happen to you but when I was on five pebbles with 3 of my friends the SplitScreen stopped working for some reason, but after we restarted it started working again. Plus try to use less mods since those do kinda make arena unplayable due to lag, but on campaign they work fine and hey, idk if you have a nasa pc so go wild!

I think this mod could be insane if it was paired with a mod that makes creatures more intelligent or able to counter attacks in some other way than having armor and weak spots and scavs should also have the option to throw their spears anywhere they want too I love this mod, It's so fun and makes the combat so much more enjoyable for me and makes you more confident but I also understand it's a really big cheat for the game and I understand why so many rain world players look down upon it, espacially those who are already good at the game I think that before using this mod you probably should complete the game first without it and try to get somewhat decent at it first, using this mod won't help you learn the game or motivate you to learn any of the advenced in this game
I highly recommend it, if there is one piece of advice I can give you is to keep an open mind if you buy the game as it's very difficult. So it can intimidate new players, but once you get into it I think you'll really enjoy it Also thank you, I'll be making more videos soon :D
I can see this being a thing in like Rain World 2 (I WISH 🤞), but to make up for it the creatures will have to be harder, faster, numerous, and/or smarter. Oh, and scavs definitely should be able to aim like you.
The only thing that holds me back about this mod is the controls. Since I use both my hands in the keyboard, idk how to move, jump/grab AND point with the mouse at the same time to make it consistent. Maybe if they do add a mouse binding with the other buttons that could help.
I use caps lock for pick-up/swap items, space to jump, wasd for movement, shift for map, and left click for throw. It took a couple of minutes to get used to but I made it work just as well as 2 hands on the keyboard. Eventually we'll be able to rebind buttons to the mouse with this mod and it'll be more accessible :)
WASD for movement, Space for jump, E for pick up and F for keyboard throw. I also downloaded Artificers Rebind so I can use Shift instead of E to bomb jump.

Anti-spyware is a way of jokingly saying that when turned on it prevents the spawning of the yellow tutorial 'creatures' in the game called overseers. Scabs have a chance of getting scared of them and throwing spears at the overseer. This wouldn't be an issue if overseers didn't spawn exclusively right next to you... If you hover over an option in emeralds tweaks, then look at the menus bottom you can see a description of what the option does!

I recommend you finish the game first as intended and learn the game before installing mods that change the game like this. You can do whatever makes you enjoy the game though!
as a matter of fact, sir, the discrepancy regarding the accuracy of the thrown spear is due to how the basic throw is set to arc towards the ground simulating gravity, when the modder "Unshackled" the throw to be mouse-aimed, you are i. reality moving the arc since this game doesn't really seem to gave gravity for projectiles, this is a little issue the dev just remedied to save time during development rather than making full on projectile physics for thrown spears and rocks. If you pay attention closely, the arc of spears and rocks are very similar, the same even,even when spears and rocks rave different mass and shape.

Currently you can't bind anything to the mouse buttons. Throw and pick up are the only keys bound to the mouse in this mod. The mod developer has stated that they are potentially going to add mouse binding options to this mod in the future though :)
I use WASD to move around and mouse buttons to throw/pickup. If you want you can also use your pinky to hit shift or something else to pickup which is what I used to do.

If you have trouble with a mod not working, then you can try to disable every mod other than the one that isn't working and base downpour mods (Including more slug cats, expedition, etc.), that is if you own downpour ofc. Some mods have trouble working with other mods and can just break if both are enabled at the same time. It won't be apparent if two mods conflict with each other until you test if the two mods work together. If it works as normal after this, then you just had a mod that conflicts with aim anywhere. If it doesn't then I have a whole video on my channel explaining how to download mods properly for both steam and non-steam versions of the game. The video also has a trouble shooting section (with time stamps) that may help you. You can go watch it if you wish :)

In emerald tweaks, there is an "Anti-Spyware" option. What does it mean when turned off and why would there even be spyware in the first place?!?!
