A question, Wimbledon organizers say if Medvedev does not public stand up against Putin, he will not be able to play the Wimbledon. Isn't that life threatening? If he says that, wouldn't his family and him self be in prison or something even worst?

It’s not original, Stako posted it on insta and FB yesterday. So hopefully more than 200 have seen it already

Yes, ban the supporters, but Rublev and Daniil said repeatedly that this is not ok, that they want peace. I mean what more can you do really...maybe we have an illusion of control over some things but the reality is that nobody can convince that guy in Russia to stop the atrocities.. personally I feel powerless and I'm assuming they feel the same

speaking "against the war" is not the same as speaking "against russian invasion". PR teams worked it out perfectly

I think sports itself is out of politics, but when athletes involve themselves with politics, that is a different story. Thanks Illya and Stako for informing us about this.

Ilya, I am curious for why you are taking Ukrainian side here. I played with you and against you as a child and I don't remember you ever speaking Ukrainian.
The whole Viccourt team (Alyona Svetova, her husband the Bogdanov, Orest Tereshchuk etc) are all from Donetsk. All trained and were based out of Lokomotiv stadion before they moved to the first Viccourt location.
You owe your entire career to Russian people from Donetsk, and your first sponsorship deals came from Donetsk. You were a great junior player, but Sanyek Nedovesov, Vasya Selivanov, Dima Gordienko, Sasha Aksyenov, Yarik Markovich were just as good or better played. Your success came from Donetsk's team supporting you. UTF don't do shit to help people, I remember Mkrtychan taking bribes for good draws on multiple tournaments. And your speaker here,Stakh, was bankrolled by his father, who is a brilliant surgeon on...male parts.
And you damn well know that Ukraine bombed the Donetsk for 8 years, the anti-Russian language sentiment is real, and Azov and Aidar fascist battalions were running wild in Donbass and across the country.

That IS EXACTLY the reason we are on UKRAINIAN side! All the people you mentioned, the whole Viccourt team on the Ukrainian side. Because we know exactly who brought the war to Donetsk in the 1st place. And it was RUSSIA. RUSSIA has created DNR and LNR while stealing Crimea. There would be no republics and separatists if not because of russian spies and soldiers all over the place in Donetsk region since 2014. Hotel Victoria was full of officers from GRU. I still have the patch of Viccourt on my sleeve by the way. Donetsk is not russia, don’t believe their propaganda! Donetsk is Ukraine. Check out the official pages of Shakhtar Donetsk. Number 5 in our Davis Cup team - check where is he from. And how old is he. Almost 99% of people I KNOW from Donetsk are on the Ukrainian side. So you are free to make your conclusions now.

Oh and about nazis in Ukraine. They exist only in Putin’s sick brain. The amount of ultra right in parliament is almost the lowest comparing to whole Europe, even lower than in russia itself… Our president’s first language is russian and he is a jew… A nazi jew by your logic…

    • @Illya_Marchenko

Oh and I was never a good junior. They took me to Viccourt because I had the best results at Ukrainian futureses. I moved to Donetsk at the age of 18, almost 19. At that time I was already better than all of the names mentioned. So looks like that all your information is just wrong

I agree with Sergiy and Alexandr Dolgolopov. And, I will take it a step further. If you are a Russian athlete that doesn't support Putin you should still be punished. It's called sanctions. And, the Russian people need to feel it. Why should Medvedev and Rubelev be able to travel, play tennis, and earn money when their country is killing innocent people. No! Those people need to be in Russia and feel something. And, if I had my way I'd send Sharapova back too. Because, she is clueless not to mention a cheater.

I don't support your vision, it's called segregation by nationality, I believe that ATP and WTA need to write a letter against this war and tell the athletes to sign it. And most important thing is NOT PAY TAXES IN RUSSIA. I think if you just banned all tennis players from Russia most of them just will get another citizenship and will compete as kazakhstane or Israel players. So It's not gonna help, they don't live in Russia for ages. Segregation is terrible crime. It's like lynching african-american in USA for crime they didn't commit. They should compete like now, without a flag, but I think for ATP and WTA rigth thing to do is donate part of prize money of Russian players to Ukraine. It's gonna be right. Hello from Kharkiv Ukraine. Путин хуйло!
