Yes, I did end up getting the WF7720. What I would suggest now to anyone starting out is if you can get the ET15000 or larger go with it. The ET is AWESOME but you are limited to 8.5x11 prints only which works for the small projects. The WF7720 allows you to print up to 13x19 and I absolutely love the flexibility but you are dealing with cartridges and things with that machine. I ordered it online from Office Depot. I had to pick it up but I think right around March is when the demand went up and they can’t keep them in stock. Check the Epson Clearance website for the 7710, they sell them for like $110 but I mean you have to watch the site constantly bc ppl buy multiple and they sell out really fast.
Mzz AJD I see!!! We’ve been talking about getting one since last year finally decided to and can’t find one anywhere lol should have just got it lol Thank you so much!!!! I will keep looking!
I purchased this same printer and some ink that had great reviews for this printer. But every image prints and transfers dull and faded. What print settings do you use for vibrant images?
@@kacielynch3538 I tried 2 different computers they both had a dull print. When I go to change the printer settings it doesn’t let me click apply to make changes & I think that may be one of the problems. I called epson & they stated this printer doesn’t work well with sublimation.
I just got this printer and pretty upset with it. Not sure what im doing wrong but its printing super light. 😣 Ive ran several tests and changed my printer settings and nothing is working.
I haven't tried that yet but I think the magic of the sublimation ink happens once you apply HEAT. When I have printed for a test or something, the colors are faded. I would suggest getting a regular printer and using pigment ink for projects that don't need to be sublimated, that way you get the best color payoff for stickers, labels, etc.

My colors print dull (i know this is normal), but they aren't popping on my shirt. I am printing on 100% polyester shirts with a heat press at 400 degrees for 80 seconds. Any advice on how you made your colors pop with this printer and sublimation ink used?
These are the printer settings in the video for the ET2720. Did you also download the driver for that printer? th-cam.com/video/GnyGSDW1qsE/w-d-xo.html
I’ve already started using a different black ink. Definitely can change out the sub ink you use once one is empty. I haven’t mixed them and I don’t know if it matters
I have this printer and its manufacturered ink inside, I now want to remove the ink and replace it with my sublimation ink. Is this possible if so can you show me or let me know how.
To sublimate yes. You want the highest level of polyester you can find...no less than 70% but the higher the percentage, the more vibrant your color will be
I'm just starting out. I definitely want an ecotank but don't want to start with the most expensive one. I only want to make coffee mugs and tumblers. Is this printer capable of making prints large enough for 20 oz and 30 oz tumblers? Again, i'm not looking to make shirts, I only want to make cups. Can anyone please help me out because I can't find anything answering this on TH-cam well, because idk what print sizes are required for tumblers. Pleeeeeease help
I don’t have one that large to measure but take measuring tape and go around the cup’s circumference, if it is wider than 10.5 then you won’t be able to print on the 8.5 by 11 that the ET supports. The WF7710 and 7720 go on sale in the Epson website regularly for approx $200 and they print up to 13x19 pages
You have to use sublimation ink along with sublimation paper. I use A-Sub and Koala Paper from Amazon. I’m reviewing Printers Jack this weekend (also from Amazon) and I’ll let you know how theirs is
Hi Kim! Make sure your speed is normal. Then, you should try to print a purge image on copy paper with Premium Presentation Matte, high quality settings. You can google for the Epson purge image, or check the description box. I've just uploaded the file in my Drive if you want to download it from there. I hope that helps.
Hey new to channel i just brought the et 2760 and can’t wait to get my ink Friday to test it out! Does it really matter what ink u use? Or is it as long as it’s sublimation ink?

Try Canva and Inkscape, they were very helpful for me when starting out. Cricut as well.
@@CraftingWithAprilD thank you. I have heard of those and will check them out. We use cricut deign space, but I felt like the videos I had seen all showed them using other programs, so I wasn’t sure. 😁
I need your help, please. I purchased the same ink. I’m having trouble with how it’s coming out.
Dear Mzz, Kindly can You advise after filling the sublimation ink into the printer and cleaning head and nozzles , do we need to change any settings inside the printer pannel ? as when i print on sublimation paper you can see that pictures are not soo shiney and the picture did not duplicate on the sublimation mask ?? Please advise if need to make any more configuration to get it work .
hi..thank you for sharing this video i have this printer because it was less work and all the wf 7710s are sold out for months....but i wanted to know whats the largest size sublimation paper you can use on this?
8.5 x 11 is the largest
Great video!!! I’m getting one today 🤗🤗 where’s the follow up to your thoughts on the print quality?? ☺️
I'm sorry! I've done quite a few videos since and I really like the pigment from the ET, my only wish is that I'd gotten the one that prints 13x19 the ET15000 but I got the WF7720 as well so it worked out
Mzz AJD if you don’t mind me asking where did you get the 7720? I haven’t been able to find one that less than $500 from a reseller
TeeRunsit they are sold out everywhere. Don’t even try Amazon their prices are out of control just like the embroidery machines
This is only for polyester and white fabrics ?
Can this printer be used with edible ink?
I purchased this same printer and some ink that had great reviews for this printer. But every image prints and transfers dull and faded. What print settings do you use for vibrant images?
Having this same problem. Are you still having that issue? If not, how did you fix it?
@@ronnicquiabennett5830 still haven't found a good setting. Im going to try a different software and see if thats the issue
@@kacielynch3538 I tried 2 different computers they both had a dull print. When I go to change the printer settings it doesn’t let me click apply to make changes & I think that may be one of the problems. I called epson & they stated this printer doesn’t work well with sublimation.
@@ronnicquiabennett5830 well that makes no sense when so many use this model
What ink are you using? I’ll try to upload a video with my exact settings soon
Hi great video but did u ever open the thing on back the flow thing ? Thank u
Glad I found this video. So does it sublimate well?
Oh yes. It's ready for sublimation once I put the ink in there
I just got this printer and pretty upset with it. Not sure what im doing wrong but its printing super light.
😣 Ive ran several tests and changed my printer settings and nothing is working.
Sublimation ink will look a lot lighter before it’s pressed!! Have you tried printing and pressing a test piece??
Have you tested a batch on 100% polyester? The heat and pressure is what activated the sublimation ink
@@CraftingWithAprilD i finally figured it out. Lol Thank You!
Oh wow! I’m just seeing the comment I’m sorry about the delay! Happy subbing!
@@CraftingWithAprilD you’re perfectly fine. It happens alot with me. 😬 Happy New Year.
I’m glad this video is short for my attention span
Lol
@@CraftingWithAprilD bruh its 15 minutes you trippin
Great video but I will like to know if you already use the printer and did it work? can we see how it came out? thanks
HI there! I have several videos where I use the ET2720, and the prints turn out great!
Had done the same thing with my printer and it stopped printing after 3 weeks :( Just exchanged it to new one and gonna fill it with normal inks.
What if it’s a used printer I bought ?
Can sublimation ink be used to print on paper still ? Like can I use that ink to make stickers and still use it to make shirts doing sublimation?
I haven't tried that yet but I think the magic of the sublimation ink happens once you apply HEAT. When I have printed for a test or something, the colors are faded. I would suggest getting a regular printer and using pigment ink for projects that don't need to be sublimated, that way you get the best color payoff for stickers, labels, etc.
Mine is printing the color way too light. Does anyone know how to fix this
Do you happen to have a direct link for the sublimation ink? I didn't see it under the details unless I missed it :)
Hello Thanks for the video! I really didn't want to spend $600 on an Espon 7710 printer. On target the description says that the operating systom is Mac OS, Do you know if I could use windows to print with it?
Hello. I went with the 7710 because of the print size
Great decision! I have the 7720 now as well
@@CraftingWithAprilD awesome was it hard to convert
Not at all. Did you order your empty ink cartridges? Just fill them up the same way I did in this video using the needle/syringe and put them in
Can I ask why you went with the 7720 instead of just this one?
Hey I watched your video and it suddenly inspired me to buy this 2720 printer. I was excited when it came home and I went through the setup process smoothly but I kept having faded images printout. Can u please share your print settings for sublimation with me however u liked. I would appreciate it.
Hi there. What software are you using to edit/print your images from? I have noticed some give more options than others. I can further assist you if I know where to start
@@CraftingWithAprilD what program do you use? or suggest. i am getting all my ducks in a row before i purchase. ** basically i need a list of everything to be successful lol
Affinity Design is the software I use, it's the Apple version of photoshop. Get the Cosmos Ink for vibrant prints, set your heatpress at 385 for 45 secs. I use A-Sub, Printer Jack, and Koala brand sublimation paper
Hi .how are you ?i will buy epson printer .i will you tell me .which one is a better for sublimation printing .epson ecotank 2720.and new epson ecotank et 2825 which one is will buy ?reply
i just got the same printer today what's the ink that comes with the printer used for ??
For regular printing but since we want to use it as a sublimation printer, don’t add that in
Hello
Mzz AJD. I am in the market for a Sublimation printer and ink and wanted to check with you how you feel about the ink you mentioned in this video before I purchase. Thanks
Thank you for this video, have a question can I use this for both sublimation and waterslide?
Hi! I think wateslide works more effectively with inkjet being that you'd have to print on sublimation paper, then heat with sublimation ink
I have the Epson 2720 and ussed XC inket like you. I am printing from the Epson Photo + software that was downloaded with the printer.
I hope you figured it out by now but it should be 60 seconds not 80
I have this ink but im so nervous to put it in. Do you like it ? Any issues with color ?
I haven’t had issues with the ink but I read feedback from others who did. I’m not sure what the difference was between my batch and theirs
once you convert the printer can you still print on regular paper with this ink for regular prints like school work?
No, it’ll print faded. You’ll have to have another dedicated printer for regular inkjet printing
you can use a different sub ink once the tanks run out every time? Or is it safer to do the same kind every time you refill
I’ve already started using a different black ink. Definitely can change out the sub ink you use once one is empty. I haven’t mixed them and I don’t know if it matters
@@CraftingWithAprilD ok thank you
I have this printer and its manufacturered ink inside, I now want to remove the ink and replace it with my sublimation ink. Is this possible if so can you show me or let me know how.
I’m currently trying to figure this out also, did you find anything on it?
I thought it was only me. I can't find the answer anywhere. 🤦♀️
You have to clean it first to get all of the ink out. I think there's some cleaning solutions that you can use. Then you can use sublimation ink.
Im new at this, so for tshirt printing it has to be polyester material?
To sublimate yes. You want the highest level of polyester you can find...no less than 70% but the higher the percentage, the more vibrant your color will be
@@CraftingWithAprilD Thank you so much for all your help.
@@CraftingWithAprilD Do you have an online store to buy tshirts?
@@CraftingWithAprilD Those are both discontinued
What is ur settings to do sublimation.. I try to do a license plate .. But the red come out orange can you help me if you didn't have problems
I was wondering can I use any type of paper to print or do I need a specific type of paper?
For sublimation yes, you have to buy a specific type
Natalia Cortés I’m planning to buy the exact printer you use with the ink, if you can, can you please tell me what paper you use? Or where you get it?
You have to use sublimation ink along with sublimation paper. I use A-Sub and Koala Paper from Amazon. I’m reviewing Printers Jack this weekend (also from Amazon) and I’ll let you know how theirs is
@@plntl actually regular paper will work. Just wont be as best quality of image transfer.
@@CraftingWithAprilD whats the best between 105G paper and 125G?
I have this same printer and set it up yesterday but I cannot get the Cyan to print at all. any advice?
Hi Kim! Make sure your speed is normal. Then, you should try to print a purge image on copy paper with Premium Presentation Matte, high quality settings. You can google for the Epson purge image, or check the description box. I've just uploaded the file in my Drive if you want to download it from there. I hope that helps.
Just subscribed thanks for the video, did you install the icc profile for this printer?
Yes I did!
Dear , I want to ask about a free and good software you can use for small design and crop pictures to use in sublimation heat cap and mug. Regards
Inkscape, Cricut, and Silhouette
Where do you buy the cosmo ink?
Their website
So all you had to do to convert it was use sublimation ink to fill the tubes ?
Yes
What kind of transfer paper you use
A-Sub
So I set this up and it only prints yellow!😭😭😭 I tried to reset the settings but it won't let me charge the Ink again! Any suggestions?
Really!? I was thinking about doing this
Should call the company
Hey new to channel i just brought the et 2760 and can’t wait to get my ink Friday to test it out! Does it really matter what ink u use? Or is it as long as it’s sublimation ink?
I’d say ink does matter especially when using an Ecotank bc you can’t just remove the cartridge and put new ink in. Cosmos Ink is very vibrant and I actually liked the results from Printer’s Jack. The have the bottles that snap into the ET directly too
Thank u so much for replying back ur awesome i brought some from amazon but cosmos is sold out of the full pack and only has 2 colors😢
You have to be ready to order at 8am whenever he does a product release but I hear it’s worth it. I do have it finally and plan to do a video soon but I like the ink from Amazon just fine though
My amazon ink came in today and i see he says the ink will b in tomor so I’ll stalk him starting at 7:57am lol
I kid you not!
