Less a Moebius "influence" than all but tracing Moebius. But it makes for a unique-looking anime and probably better than say the Heavy metal movie ;)~ Thanks for watching.
I had intended to merely rewatch the opening battle sequence after 10 years. Ended up rewatching the whole thing because it's so compact and fun anyway... someone save me!

I remember hearing Japanese dialogue blasting from the speakers as we walked in, and was surprised to see a clip of this.

Curious, the art style is definately Mobius like, I was just wondering who inspired who, yes, I started watching it, that has to be Mobius artwork, a secret insperation of many artist today including myself but I dont use his style, the color pallet and (grain) is everywhere from art to video games, he had a inccredible sense of color and texture.

Not a fan of the "Arzach"-period art lift; if I'm going to look at animation of Moebius's art, I'd rather that Moebius himself is responsible, and I didn't see him mentioned in the opening credits. Being influenced by Jean Giraud is one thing. Ripping off Jean Giraud is another thing entitely. But ripping off Jean Giraud and tying his style to something with the pacing of a three-toed sloth is an unacceptable thing. Boo. Hiss. Where's Alejandro Jodorowski when you need him?

素晴らしき80年代、OVAの黄金期により産み出された怪作だね。日本のアニメは1978年から1989年頃までに全ての基礎が完成してるような気がする。コアな部分はメカと美少女が活躍する戦闘シーンを自分の理想的な形で描く。これに尽きる。その理想を追求したアマチュアイズムがビジネスになったのが奇跡の80年代だった

確かに素晴らしく奇跡の80年代。アニメもコミックもそのほかも無茶苦茶やってみたいようにやってたね、あのころ日本。

I didn't understand the plot at all, but I loved the art style. It reminded me of the visual style of Mobius.
Makoto Kobayashi took a lot of inspiration from Moebius' body of work.

No, it was produced in Japan with no Moebius involvement as far as I know. But clearly it was heavily inspired by Moebius ;)
makoto kobayashi 小林誠という人物の作品です。ガンダムシリーズに深く関わっています。この頃、多くの日本のクリエイターがMoebiusに影響を受けています。hayao miyazakiとかkatsuhiro ootomoとか。

絵とか雰囲気とか、PCエンジンの「精霊戦士スプリガン」ってこの作品の影響受けてそうですね。(これ+ダンバイン)/2という感じ。
メビウス（ジャン・ジロー）の作品を調べれば、その影響がはっきりと分かります。
昔はOVAがたくさんあってワクワクさせられたなぁ
