    That last waterfall has been one of my favorites since it's first reveal. If this new project is anything like it, its going to be equally fantastic!

    I think rainwater harvesting goes perfectly with water features. No doubt it will all look phenomenal when done

    Can't wait to see the waterfall, and if you can add an bridge to go to the top It will be really beautiful with the lights coming under the fall. It will be great.

    That's going to look so much better when you get done!! Glad to hear, Mr. Client has room to spread out a bit. The WF did look pretty cramped. Maybe he'll consider taking out his deck spindles and put in glass? Patiently waiting for your next update.

    Can’t wait to see the final result. Driving to MI a week from today and planning to make a stop in St. Charles and check out Aqualand! Rock question- is there a difference between limestone and sandstone if you’re hoping to have more moss or other plants growing on your rocks?

    • @EdThePondProfessor
      @EdThePondProfessor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes,
      Definitely a difference!
      Chemically speaking different compounds and structure, sandstone is much softer and more porous, it will absorb more water allowing for continued growth.
      Blending them works very well and gives you a lot of options!

    for me, the viewing angles required seems to be quite a challenge that's why I'm really excited to see the final results...

    is there a reason the wall couldn't be removed ? or at least some of it ??

      Too expensive and it’s attached to the foundation of the home

    Was you not allowed to take some of that wall out then Ed?

    • @EdThePondProfessor
      @EdThePondProfessor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No,
      It’s connected to the foundation of the home,
      It wasn’t worth it……

    Do you have issues with sandstone decomposition over time? Does it hold up? We are in western Colorado and have access to lots of sandstone

    • @EdThePondProfessor
      @EdThePondProfessor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve had mixed results…….
      The majority of the stone & installations have been fine but we’ll occasionally get some problems, typically during the freeze thaw cycle

    • @johnhildebrand8740
      @johnhildebrand8740 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EdThePondProfessor thanks Ed. We are at 5,000’ elevation so we certainly freeze. We have some sandstone pavers that flake and others that don’t.
