They both did a great job with their accents in this movie. I never would have guessed the characters were being played by a Swede and an English actress!

One of the best coming-of-age films ever. So honest and unapologetic. There's really a shortage of frank, female-centred teenage films, exploring female sexuality in an open and non-judgemental way, especially from the US, making The Diary of a Teenage Girl truly quite a revelation.
I think it's kind of rude when they start asking about a different unrelated movie one of the actors is in

I hated his look in this movie, i was just missing his True Blood personality. The way he was crying confessing his love to Minnie was so yuck, but i have to admit he is a terrific actor. His whole body language is pretty goofy in this movie and there was a scene when he was biting his lips beneath the moustache just casually which looked so natural. Its hard to compare him with ultra polished Eric Northman. He deserved his Golden Globe and Emmy completely, although for a different role. I would love to see him in more mainstream films as lead.

I think that depends enormously on the lighting and overall cinematography
Cause the costumes are more or less the same, it's just that you can shoot it as though it was a contemporary, realistic film, or as a sort of homage to that era
