I am the little boys dad, he's called Frank and loves being a coldstream guard, we couldn't thank the police officer enough, he made the day even more special 😀💂♂️🇬🇧
You’ve raised a beautiful young man! It’s clear other people see it and respond accordingly too. Did you send the Police Officer a thank you card? Start a friendship… there might be more opportunities for dear little Frank that come out of it and I’d send a letter (with photos) to the King, Camilla or Princess Anne. You never know where this could take him.
Pretty sure you don't get that assignment by being a poor officer. When you put good people in places to make a difference, they usually do. Especially Police in the UK, they are just a better level of police.
@@paulclairethomas1344 Not sure if this is either 1) a genuine question (from someone outside of the UK) or 2) a sarcastic question (from someone from the UK) 😂 So please choose your appropriate answer 😅 1. A ‘local Bobby’ would be a police officer that is located in a particular area, who walks the streets and gets to know the community, and everyone knows who he is, and he’s usually fair, and actually wants to help people as a priority. The term ‘Bobby’ meaning ‘Police Officer’ comes from Robert ‘Bobby’ Peel, who set up the first proper, modern(-ish) police force in the UK 2. I know, right?! Haven’t seen a ‘Bobby on the beat’ for years; too busy filling out paperwork and taking on the roles of the NHS or Social Care sectors; all of which are horrendously underfunded and understaffed. (I assume it’s this answer 😂 )
Those of us who watch the Horse Gaurds channels are familiar with Frank. I won't speak for all watchers or filmers, but alot of people have a soft spot for Frank and love seeing him pop up every once in a while. He is a respectful and well behaved young man. Mom and Dad should be proud!
I have a very soft spot for this wonderful young man. Even tho I'm an American I am so proud of Frank. His respect for the guards brings 😢😢. I'd love to give Frank a BIG HUG 🤗🤗🤗
In a world that have very much gone to crap, these small little random acts of kindness shine even more bright. That little lad will remember this for the rest of his life.
A future guardsman in the making?.A wonderful memory for him to treasure and a lovely gesture on behalf of the policeman .Thank you for sharing a lovely video.
Now THATS what you call a police officer , even if the policeman could have got in trouble with his superiors, he gave that boy a moment he will always remember . Well done sir , you are a man with a big heart 👏.
If i recall, after the guards had passed inside, the guard officer returned to the boy, stood to attention and saluted him. The little boy saluted back. What a precious memory❤
Okay. My eyes just welled up with tears. So sweet and kind that the officer across the street saw this wee fellow and created a lifetime epic memory for him. When you think that these officers have to deal with gormless tourists every day and that standing around on the street must at times bore them rigid (I know it is their job but every job has an element that is less than wonderful but necessary), this man thought outside the box and made this wee boy’s day. This is up there with the guardsman, Peter Ellis who helps the mounted guards with the halters and gives the horses a pat and a forehead kiss and who will step closer to youngsters and disabled and elderly people to give them a better picture. Bless!
This reminds me of when I was seven or eight, I got to go to trooping the colour and we had to go all the way down downing street to get to our seats, but for me that wasn't the best part, the best part was the beautiful household cavalry horses one of which I got to actually ride for a short distance after the trooper we were talking to found out how much I love horses he called over his commanding officer for permission to ride his horse in a circle and even wear his household cavalry helmet which was incredibly heavy, he even said they have a time limit on how long they are allowed to wear the helmets when, although he didn't specify the time, the only condition was I had to wear a pair of household cavalry gloves to handle the helmet to avoid smears and marks, afterwards the commanding officer sought us out and gave me my own pair of household cavalry gloves from the stores which I still have to this day! It truly made my decade and was one of the best days of my life!
It's quite funny really because I actually bumped into the guard a few days ago, he has left the army now and is now living ten minutes walk from me but he still remembers me and that day, he said he could tell straight away I am a natural horseman and always wondered what happened to me and now he knows, I literally own my own stable yard and numerous stunt horses! In fact he is coming over for a lesson in a few weeks time!
That just made me smile how lovely to watch a nice gesture of a policeman to a lovely little boy..I think we know what he wants to be when he gets older...bless him.
I've had a horrible day, watching this has just popped the smile back on my face X what precious memories this young man will have X Good on the policeman, a good heart ❤
What a generously kind police officer bringing the you g boy and his dad forward to get the best view this kid will tember this special moment so lovely 😊❤
Love Capt Frank. He is such a respectful young man. His mom and dad should be very proud . They evidently have taugt him well. I pray he continues to be an example for all.
Oh bless him 😊. What that policeman did for him was absolutely lovely the boy will have a lovely memory to look back on because of him it’s bloody beautiful.
Just when you think you want to give up on humans and their behaviour you get these jewels of warm hearted moments that remind you that all is not lost.
Now this is a young lad he has both honour/respect and has been brought up with honourable and kindness parents this is what we need as a prime minister not these joke of a politicians we have at the moment either being silly or being arrogant/snide trying to put one over each other we want honesty not jokes but frank honesty and respect for others is what we need 👍🙂🙂

This is precious! So glad your little boy had his moment. The memory will last a life time.

Love the way the officer kept talking to the little lad,a good man

That’s the policeman we all want as our local bobby , wonderful thing to do 👍🇬🇧
I agree with this sentiment. ..the only problem is, what is "a local bobby"..?

so good of the officers for seeing the young boy dressed up and taking him to the front very nice of them.

Why would he get into trouble? thats what our police do , it's called policing by consent.
That copper is a proper role model for new recruits in the police. They should all make note of what he does.
Quality, that's why I'm proud and privileged to be British, that boy will remember that for the rest of his life.
