Anna, I’m a little behind on your vlogmas but I’m catching up at work. I did want to mention, thank you for talking about grief. I’ve never lost a parent but I’ve lost many loved ones. The feeling of a parent passing comes and goes but letting the tears come when they need to is super helpful and I’m happy you let them come and consume you for a while. Here’s a huge virtual hug! My goodness, I understand how hard the holidays can be when someone you love so very much has passed away. I can relate, my father figure passed when I was 19. Usually people get their parents for much longer in life than we did. I think for the pain to ever fully go away we’d have to stop loving them. The pain comes from all the love you still have for them but nowhere to give it to for them in this life. So, I choose to wear my pain as a symbol for all the love I still have for him. It helps me to smile more than I cry. You will learn to live with it easier every year, I promise. Sending you some love sweet girl. ❤

There is never a time you won’t think of a lost loved one. Does it get easier? No. I find it’s the little things that will make you suddenly remember them, and the tears will just fall. Grief is not linear. It’s forever. But, you will also remember the memories that make you smile too. So, there is a balance. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I lost one of my uncles to a heart attack back in August, after having already lost 5 other family members since 2018….so I know exactly how you feel. It’s never easy losing a loved one, especially someone who you’re super close with. It’s the worst feeling but I’ve always been told to see our loved ones who’ve passed on, as guardian angels who are gonna help guide us throughout life.

Girl you got me crying with you. It sounds like you lost your mom and I’m so sorry. My mom passed away last year due to Covid and it’s still very hard. She was my best friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you 💕
