I think its mostly about the displacement. But its also mainly for group scenarios. If enemies cannot stop it, Machamp can set up some pretty nasty takedowns for the team.

dynamic punch is both theoretically and practically better in group scenarios and winrate stats support this
Tbh I think machamp needs to be the next Pokemon that should get some reworks done. Would be cool to see what they would do to him ✨

Tbh tyranatar needs rework ,you can't do anything with his ult . It should get lifesteal.
Lower cd for dpunch, cross chop/close combat+ moves at lvl 11 instead of lvl 13, lvl 7 evo，submission should give more defense as an additional buff,or simply make guts work with any kind of cc or hinderance and not just with status problems.
Machamp will easily jump to A+ tier with these simple changes.
Imagine having a move that u need to stack up with basic attacks to do more dmg and u get it at lvl 13. Also I think guts works already with all cc except slow I think could be wrong here tho.

Machamp needs some love, so heres my proposition:
Earlier evolution obviously, Either 7 or 8
Crosschop can gain stacks once you get it, I think 25. Crosschop+ can gain 25 more stacks.
Stop letting enemies randomly be unaffected by Submission.
Dynamic Punch gives Machamp 3 boosted attacks once activated, 5 with Dynamic Punch+.
Idk what to do with Close Combat.
Maybe this is broken but I just want our boy to be good... hes so fun but he just needs more.

I think the reason why people rather play submission is if u wanted to play a melee carry u rather of playing another mon instead. Since cross chomp isn't a consistent move to do dmg with cuz it dose dog dmg if it doesn't crit. And with submission at least u have unstoppable to run trough also those moonblasting, fire spinning, volttackeling backrow attackers and smack the hell out of them.
idk why ppl are liking this comment when you literally got the moves wrong. cross chop is mutually exclusive with CC not submission. when you take submission you take it over dynamic punch which also has all of the qualities you listed (diving, cc immunity, burst damage, decent crowd control)

I think that when the enemy is Moonblasting, Fire Spinning and Volt Tackling you to hell, Submission is a solid answer. I love running up on Delphoxs with it. The 1st time they see me running at them, they blow Eject. I go away and wait for CD. The 2nd time, they panic Ult which doesn't help cause Submission cancels it during animation. And from there, they are a sitting duck to be basic attacked back to base.

I am so surprised that submission champ isn't played more in tourneys or coordinated plays. I've been using this build with full speed investment after inder first played it as a quarterback machamp. The fight initiating potential is so high and getting out of difficult situations is also easy. Also, you can kidnap an enemy member going past all the cc, and get your team that important kill. Jungle invade is also a successful strat with x speed

submission honestly having cc is kinda cool, maybe have it give machamp a bigger boost when using it though
Also Submission takes practice. It's my 3rd most played build and I almost never have the missed grab issue you have sometimes. I think I've seen you do that in just about every Submission Machamp vid you've put out. You have to be right on top of your target and don't try to grab before you are. It doesn't yank ppl like you're probably still used to from before they changed it.
BTW, you are an amazing player so don't take this comment wrong if you read it.

Champ doesn’t need big buffs tbh. I find he does really well when he jungles and if you play his dpunch and close combat build like a speedster. He just needs a tad bit more of defense or imo
