    Thanks for this - often we overlook what is right in front of us. Many of us use Goof Off frequently for sticker removal, etc., but this is a great idea. Also, you can try hand sanitizer(65% alcohol) on dried latex paint on brushes and on clothing. It is also cheap and easy, and non-oily.

      i tried pure 90% alcohol and it failed miserably to remove ANY dried latex paint on a good brush. It is no better than water. Don't give advice if it's not tested and tried.

    It stinks to high heaven, but it works. Also, make sure to use glass or metal because it eats holes in plastic cups.

    I use baking soda water or hair conditioner is funny, but it makes latex paint peel. Only works with latex

    Is this like lighter fluid? Has anyone used lighter fluid before? Will it effect the bristles in any way?

    Know what else works and is cheaper? Gasoline. Any paint. Not finicky.
