Magazine Ho is Jinho's monthly TH-cam cover series, a series in which he showcases his vocals in multiple genres and languages. He even had a few Magazine Ho concerts at some point which were all sold out. He's an absolutely incredible vocalist. I highly recommend you watch his cover of Bruno Mars's 'Gorilla' with Hui, as well as Gesethmane Jesus Christ Superstar. The guy that you liked in the 'It's Live' performances is Yeo One, the birthday boy. He's a lead vocalist in the group and he just feels himself every time he performs. The group does have a close connection to rock music, yeah. Hui, Jinho, Kino, and Shinwon in particular. They have so much variety in their b sides but you'll always see the rock influence here or there. Hui and Shinwon performed an original song called WTH during their online concert which CUBE was kind enough to release a studio version of recently. It's just... crazy. Even by Pentagon standards. You should totally check it out. But anyway, I'm glad you're getting into the group more and more. Their discography is a treasure trove and they are natural born performers. Would love to see some album reactions on Patreon some day!
When i first listened to them, yeoone vocals and charisma just stunned me. I was so sure that he would be one of the main vocalist of the group. when i started stanning them i came to know he was just a sub vocalist. I mean this group has the vocalist having a main vocalist potential. Let others keep sleeping on them 'cause from now own I'm all awake.
If you do not understand how they are not so well known, Believe me, I stan them since 2017, it has been horrible for me seeing everything that happened. 😭😭
they have the energy of a band because one of them used to be in a band, four of them are obsessed with rock music, three of them play electric guitars, many of them love to jam with bands and like most of them play instruments so yeah :D btw i recommend watching their newest mdromeda cover of not shy because they went really hard there and it has even more rock vibes

Since you really liked Yeo One in the first two performances you should definitely react to the Magazine Ho cover with Jinho and Yeo One "오르막길" b/c it's one of my faves besides Gethsemane and the two of them just play off of each other's vocals SO WELL. It's so satisfying to listen to. I also have never been able to get into Gorilla despite stanning them from before debut lol.

Another great cover is Pentagon cover of Disney’s Into the Unknown. Also Jinho, (Magazine Ho) Natural, from Imagine Dragons and Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar....he’s literally shaking at the end of that one. i have a theory on the Cube effect, aside from the management and promoting wich is one thing...another thing i think has something to do with Pentagon and BTOB as i can tell...is that since Cube let them have creativity, produce and compose...chose concepts and stuff like that...they like to do their own thing and not take on count on the trends on charts and other kpoop artist...they just to what the feel (wich is great) but at the same time they don´t get on international audience radar because many of the international kpop fans come from big groups with a disticnt sound...and other companies just give their groups the songs and give them everything on a package ready to learn and perform.

Also to see how talented they are as singers, there's another video on yt that's a clip from one of their earliest vlives, and it's an acappella version of their debut song Gorilla.
