Fun fact: Ignited Revenant is a Wildfire wearing Netherite Armour!

Ignis fight is a blast,
very difficult in protection diamond/netherite armor but perfectly beatable, and a small enough margin of error that you will die if you make too many mistakes but you have some time to learn mid-fight (potions and good food are essential to beat with vanilla gear)
I hope that the ice crystal from Mowzie’s Mobs is effective against Ignis and allows you to freeze him and get some melee damage in. It just makes sense since the mods go so well together and ice weapons should be good against fire mobs. Plus it gives you even more reason to beat a frostmaw first

Ironically Mowzie made blazes completely immune to the ice crystal because they are a fire mob. Apparently some technicality that its an icy wind with no icy water that would hurt fire mobs
@@aarter2913 kinda weird that the “icy wind” with no ice, wouldn’t have any if it comes out of a freaking magic ice crystal… but cool I didn’t know that

I fought this boss a day ago. I have made a custom modpack for myself with Mods like this, Improved mobs (which scales health and damage if mobs based on the age of your world) and Apotheosis and in this combination, even with strong Apotheosis armor Ignis was very fun, although of course I am very OP at this point. Cataclysm is just so good for boss fights, 11/10.

Fought Ignis with a different combat mod which I have tried two of them so far The Epic Fight Mod and Better Combat Mod which has the dark souls feel in these fights

Ignited Revenant was more powerful than I thought. I was surprised as it is always defeated easily in mobbattles.

I had way too much trouble trying to fight this boss. And as you said, using magic is the best way to kill him. I’ve used the abyssal claw and it helps. I’ll use that and irons spells and spellbook magic to fight him next time

you can destroy the Ignited Revenant`s shield by doing a axe crit while jumping, its pretty tricky to do but you can destroy the shields

do you know how i can find the arena? I've been having troubles trying to find it, prob cuz im using better minecraft forge.
its quite rare, it can spawn in any biome, look if better minecraft has a compass mod that point to structure like the explorer compass mod, you can also add it yourself. if not, you gotta explore alot

Also I have a suggestion, could you do a BMM episode about lycanites mobs, minibosses and/or bosses, I think you could probably beat them, seeing that you managed to defeat ignis

After like a 30 min of searching in creative mode in Better minecraft i didnt find single one, it kind a pissing me off, how could i beat ignis when i cant find arena even in creative...
use the /locate or add the explorer's compass to the modpack

Running theme here seems to be, "one does not simply run away from a sliding shield bash and the impale grab"
