In today's blog, we all set for a ‪@FrenchicTV‬ painting video! In which I paint my wall panels in Moleskin, first in the chalk wall paint range and then do my pine in the moleskin but in the trim paint range to help it stand out! After sealing it with finishing coat of course!

Interested to know why you used pine instead of mdf rips , assuming it's to make the project more diy friendly for viewers with no need for cutting mdf or sealing raw edges ? Personally always just run rips of mdf on the table saw for similar projects but if always just used a slightly watered matte emulsion as a primer/undercoat for mdf . Seems to be so many complicated options when it comes to sealing and priming mdf

Thats right we just purchased the pine wood off the shelf that size, Ive tried cutter stripping slips of MDF down in the past, its ok but loads of dust everywhere and the edges need sealing a lot, sometime 2 or 3 coats

@MrDIYCraigPhillips yeah it's a lot of work and mess for a small area , we usually do a big batch for larger or multiple projects . Always need to prime the edges or add mouldings for clients looking to decorate themselves . I'll have to try the Frenchic range as clients always ask for paint recommendations for mdf finishes . Seems to be everyone wants smother 3 coats of over priced Farrow and Ball over everything

@@JamieVauxnut1 Frenchic is the best for this type of project, especially if you seal the MDF beforehand!
