It was great to see Tom again. I kind of wished that they had brought back Ailsa and Bobby as well, but that would have made Sally's out of body experience quite overcrowded.
Roger Oakley's one-off return appearance as Tom Fletcher. Tom was Sally's foster father who she loved and adored very dearly. Tom's death hit Sally really hard. And Pippa too but they soon recovered from the grief and anguish of Tom's death and moved on. Pippa remarriage to Michael Ross(Debra Lawrence's real life husband Dennis Coard) and then Michael's death. Another foster father dead for Sally. And another dead husband for Pippa too. This is only a dream sequence for Sally and she's dreaming about not surviving the surgery plus what other lives would suffer if Sally chose to stay alive or be dead and reunite with Tom and Flynn. It's just a choice of decision making that Tom is offering to Sally. Yes Tom she is your little Sally Fletcher all grown up.

I wish Tom didn't have to die leaving Pippa a widow and Sally,Carly, Lynn and Steven without a husband or foster father. If I had one wish for Sally Fletcher it would be to bring her foster father Tom back from the dead for real. How everything turned out in Sally's storylines over the years since Tom died were quite the storylines. Sally has been through alot since Tom's death. And that's another storyline I still don't understand or get. The storyline surrounding Tom Fletcher's death. How he died and why it happened like that I just don't get it. Tom died when Sally was ten years old and that was 25 years ago in 1990. When this episode took place.
Oh my god Roger Oakley making a guest appearance as Tom Fletcher's ghost as his foster daughter with Pippa Sally is laying on the operating table in theatre. It was nice to see a very very dead Tom again. It has been 25 years since Tom died leaving Pippa a widow for the first time. Sally really loved Tom more than anything. And his death hit Sally really hard at that young age of ten. Yeah sometimes I wish Tom never died. But he did. But how Tom died on Home And Away was one question I'd like to see answered. Why is Tom Fletcher dead. Why did he die and what's the reason behind Tom and Pippa not being together raising Sally and their other foster children they had under the Summer Bay house roof.
