So because he made himself cry, and will be eligible again in 2 years we're going to let him escape justice. I get that we aren't the same person we were before 25 years old, but he still took a life, should never be allowed out.

His seemed so disingenuous in his opening statement. He never apologized to the victims family. He still tried to play down his part in the crime. As soon as I heard who the board members were, I knew they would grant. In my opinion, they were given a deal and should have to serve all their time. I am so sorry for the victims family.

A lot of people think prison is only about rehabilitation. Sometimes it has to be about punishment. If you rehabilitate yourself- great! You have helped repair your soul...but are not leaving until every day of your sentence is served. They committed overkill, and turned around to finish the job when they saw her still moving.

With the good time he accumulated he would be out in in like 3 or 4 years anyway which is what they were saying, because in prison when you follow rules every day can count for two or 3 days of your sentence. It’s called “good time”

*These board members always find a way to ego stroke these devils. This killer had no genuine remorse. He took no real responsibility he just ran his mouth and gave reasons and excuses. But the parole board always thinks speaking well, or just admitting to your crime makes you rehabilitated. Our system is broken, chomos get out early, killers get out early…*

@@KMASS17I totally agree. If we have a parole system, then this guy is a prime example of who is a good candidate for parole. He’s a different man. He has empathy, compassion and true remorse. Mandoo- did you actually watch this entire parole hearing?? How can you think this man doesn’t have remorse? His discussion on his experience doing hospice made me tear up. So did the victim. But all these murder crimes are horrible. So do you think we should not have parole for any murderer? That’s one thing, but if we have parole this guy deserves it. He’s a changed man!

Insight into the thought process of a psychopath when he describes the attack from his cell mate and says, it wasn’t him it was PTSD, having explained that “the PTSD” took the life of his (cell mate’s) girlfriend. Never any human being who is responsible for harming other humans.
He goes on blabbering about a lot of stuff, trying to paint himself as a tragic character and none of it connects with his actual feelings (because he doesn’t have feelings)!

Lives ruined....etc.....but the families of the victims of these ruthless murderers never recover. Can never get their loved one back. And what yhese two did!!!! There should be no second chances. Life behind bars for the rest of their lives should be the only answer! Deepest condolences to the loved ones of this sweet hard working kind victim❤

Why do the parole board always go erm erm and brake up their sentence instead of just talking coherently like an ordinary person because they know what they’re going to say. They don’t even remember that it’s the victims daughter not the victim and totally ignore that that her son killed himself because he couldn’t cope and her husband drank himself to death because of this, so he really killed three people. He was the one who actually killed her not the accomplice aaaaaaarh this parole board are crap.

Hey Mandoo. I just have a question. Still new to this. But I'm catching on. I've noticed that most of the hearings are much much shorter than this. And the board members seem to hurry the people along that are talking. Almost rushing them sometimes. And I hear them say. "We only have so much time for this". Or something to that effect. So why was this one so long? The people talked forever. I didn't mind the daughter talking alot but the prisoner was just annoying to listen to. And I actually fast forwarded most of when he was talking. Just nonsense. But why are most hearings so short and almost rushed and this one was seemingly allowed to go on for as long as they wanted? Thanks.

They aren’t worried about him not having supervision because they believe he’s going to do something.. it’s because he’s been in prison FOR SOOOO LONG…. We can’t really fathom 30yrs time but sit and try to think of all the things hes never use technology wise… things price wise….thing that if you weren’t alive 30yrs ago what you’d never know…. 30 years is a very long time it’s almost as if he’s coming out of a coma and you’re just throwing him out of the hospital like GOOD LUCK and leaving him to fend for himself… he grew up in the system he was only 18 he’s institutionalized it would be terrifying and a complete shock to the system to be out and be on your own with no support and no direction…. I had a friend who served 15yrs which is half of this time and he couldn’t even go to the grocery store because he’d have full blown panic attacks…. He didn’t know how to use a cell phone….!he couldn’t drive…. When he broke down to me what technology developed in that 15yrs and he broke it down how much he didnt know and had never seen I WAS FLOORED…things we don’t think about because we’ve always had access to them…. basically time outside has continued to move forward and he’s still 18yrs old over 30yrs later…. For example and this is huge! THE INTERNET…. In 1994 (30yrs ago…. Yeah 1994….) the internet was just becoming a thing…. AOL didn’t even exist yet and the internet was only able to search very small amounts of information it was very limited… cell phones…. Didn’t exist… they were basically for rich people who had the big brick phones or the ones with the cords in your car they were very expensive…. Pagers didn’t even exist yet…. Electric cars? that was like a joke…. Science fiction…. Like flying cars… just never a thought they’d ever really exist and now they’re everywhere….social media is all we know…. That never existed that wasn’t a thing in 1994 there was no streaming there was no going live there was no Netflix or Hulu or TH-cam…. there was only 10,000 websites no google no ask Jeeves no bing internet explorer wasn’t even a thing there wasn’t email there was no data there was no internet on phones it was simply calling there was no WiFi no Bluetooth no online shopping no Amazon there was only dial up internet and only 100,000 computer owners in 1994 There was VHS tapes and a VCR….. there weren’t CDs there were tapes…. FLOPPY DISCS…. Those square hard discs were just becoming a thing DVDs were just introduced… you had to go to a store to shop you couldn’t have food delivered to you…. we take for granted all the medical and technological and just plain improvements that occur over our lifetimes we take for granted all the things that have made our lives so much easier…. 30yrs is a lot of time and a lot has happened in 30yrs that with these things we don’t notice but they do consider it dangerous to let someone out that’s been locked up that long and that’s ANYONE regardless of their crime…. It’s a huge shock to the system… many re offend to get locked back up because they don’t know how to survive on the outside….living 30yrs locked up with someone telling you when to shower when to sleep when to wake up when to eat leading you through life day after day for 30yrs and then having no support they know the chances of ANYONE being successful in that scenario is next to none…. Even after 10yrs it’s a shock to the system it’s more manageable but 30yrs? I was only 10yrs old that’s 3/4’s of my life! I’ve never been to prison but like I said my friend was in for 15yrs half of his life at the time…. he had an extremely hard time…. That’s why they sent him to transitional housing that’s why they put him on parole so he had a contact so he could slowly transition back into society…..BUT I don’t think he’s being 100% genuine I don’t really necessarily agree with their reasoning EVER in these stupid hearings they make no sense BUT when they release people it’s their jobs to make sure they have the things they need to be successful it would be a disservice to him and society to just let him out throw him on the bus with 100 bucks and throw him to the wolves…. so that guy mentioning that he should be on parole and not just let out with no supervision I thought was the best idea they had…. If he was in there for 30yrs for selling drugs it’d still be extremely dangerous to let him out after 30yrs without some kind of transition plan in place… prison isn’t paradise…. You’re paranoid you’re looking over your shoulder you’re on edge all the time… you’re always on alert….. 30yrs of that doesn’t just go away it doesn’t just shut off…. It’s a whole different world out here and I don’t wish that shit on anyone…. they all want out after 30yrs but be careful what you wish for…. You’re going from a world you’re used to and accustom to to a world where you’re alone and you know no one and you no longer are promised 3 hots and a cot….. I just can’t even begin to fathom what that’d be like…. But it makes me incredibly anxious honestly

Really annoyed me ..Exactly wear is the bracing for the victims daughter when she got the parole date for her mother's murderer......Look I get it he did alot of time ..I get it but it's extremely disturbing what they did ..The daughters statement broke my heart ...Hope this man is truly reformed and will choose to do the right thing.Im so sorry to the victims of this awful crime

So in your eyes, Mandoo, there's no hope for any roach. Once a roach always a roach. I guess there's no such thing as rehabilitation, and parole board hearings are a waste of time, as far as you're concerned. I would agree with you in many instances, but in this particular case, I don't. I believe he was remorseful and I believe he was sincere. My heart goes out to the victim's family and that was an atrocious thing that man did when he was 18, but I really believe now after all this time, that he is truly sorry.

He may be sorry, but people don’t really change. At 18 who even thinks of doing any such horrible thing to an innocent woman, and I don’t think any amount of drugs or alcohol would make a normal person do it either.

This one was very different for me. I can tell that he's going todo what he has todo to make it in today's society and try to make up and contribute as much as possible for lost time and all, but I never heard him apologizing to the victims! and trust me he's definitely sorry, but you never know what a person's mind is thinking when in such a complex situation. If we have difficulty with this scenario well imagine him. My older brother just got out after giving the system like 36 years. He has M.S and is very sick. After all those years the last thing he's thinking about is doing wrong💯. He's been home almost a year already and I'm on him all the time like a hawk. Again my prayers go out to the victim and her family. Let's all try todo better🙏🏾🙏🏾

He didnt even seem overly happy when the decision was made. I honestly do think he isnt very happy either way, he probably just wants to see what life is like on the outside. No one wins. In the end Im still not sure he should be released.

Well, I will disagree with you here. I do believe that he is remorseful. What he did was horrible but nothing about what he did will change. I believe what the attorney said was meant as he never thought he would get out. Even the other attorney mentioned the good he has done. I cried through the daughter's testimony; it is terribly sad. Is there ever a time for compassion though. Should we never allow someone to try to redeem themselves. He will never fully be able to redeem himself fully, but he has done good work since being in prison.

I have watched several parole hearing videos, and this is the first one that I believed the inmate was truly remorseful and sincere, and the board made the correct decision to grant him parole.
My son's life was ended when he was only 31 years young, and I have compassion for the victims family as I know how they feel. In saying that, I believe the inmate is remorseful and not the same person he was when he did the horrible crime he has been serving all these years in prison for.
Those responsible for my son's death have not a drop of remorse nor paid any price for what they did. The Bible says:
      Luke 13:3
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
      King James Version (KJV)
My prayers for the family of the victim and the man getting released on parole...
      2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
      King James Version (KJV)
      Ephesians 4:32
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”
      King James Version (KJV)
