    A lightweight jacket that keeps the chill away from your chest area and that can repel water is always a great piece of kit to carry on. Thanks for the review, Simon.

    I really like your videos for the honest opinions you give about gear or trails, and the stunning scenery on your doorstep is an added bonus. Thanks!

    I use a lot of Rab clothing for my outdoor pursuits. I have a couple of cinder products, I have that Cinderino T-shirt to be very good, certainly in this warm weather it’s kept me cool and dry without feeling any wind coming through
    The Aeon lt 25 also excellent for walking and cycling.

    I have the cinder phantom jacket and it's amazing. So lightweight and love the way you can strap it to your bike frame. I also wore it in an absolutely torrential thunderstorm and it kept me really dry.

    I have a 15 year old Rab Neutrino Drillium jacket that, while not intended as such, is pretty much a perfect cycling jacket. Slim cut, stowable hood, eVent membrane, bright orange. Bring that product back and I will be happy to buy it.

    Had a good chuckle about the stuff sack at the end. 😅 Also appreciate the comments about free samples and reviewer integrity.

    Great video again sir! High vis colors are required so I’ll wait till that gets added to try!

    I'm a big fan of Rab and have also used their kit for years so I've no doubt their cycling gear will also be good. The market seems flooded now with different jackets. Many of the differences are marginal, to the point where even a slight change in weather would favour one over another. Fit, comfort and ease of use for your main cycling would seem the best guide as donning another layer for warmth is so easy these days.

      It’s probably not a great time to enter a struggling cycling market Mike. But Rab is now owned by a big international Venture Capital backed business so it’ll survive. Thrive I’m less certain about.

    Hi Simon. I have been watching your videos for months now and enjoying them greatly. Very well made and enjoyable for me being a keen cyclist , but at 67 getting a bit long in the tooth. Can't help but notice that you do a lot of traveling around the world but I don't think that I have ever seen a video shot in Wales. I know that Wales is very hilly but I wouldn't have thought that this would put you off. One other point is how do you get people out of your way when riding on paths ? Can't say I have seen a bell on your bike. Keep the videos coming. More power to your pedals. Paul

    • @alwaysanotheradventure
      @alwaysanotheradventure  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul. Delighted to hear you enjoy the videos - thank you. It’s the only reason to make them.
      I don’t think I do much travelling now. Two trips to Europe last year, none this year (deliberately). It used to be more when I worked and travelling was fun. The reason is partly wrapped up in the reason I’ve not done much in Wales.
      I love Scotland and I still haven’t seen enough of it. Today I’m riding some of the snow roads - new to me.
      I have filmed for my Sea kayaking films in Wales (Franco’s navigation video) and I did my ML decades ago, but no I haven’t cycled. Nothing against Wales except it’s too far from where I live and - I apologise for this - it’s not Scotland.
      We have to head down south for Liz’s family commitments which is why I sometimes ride in Dorset or Richmond, and we did go the Scilly this summer, but otherwise I have a list SO long of rides to do here. I’ll need another life or two to get around to everything 😁

    The pack looked good but will not tear me away from my OMM Classic which is unbeatable in my humble opinion. How expensive is that clothing? The wind top looked quite saggy at the back when filled with gear. Nice to see Taiwan leading innovation.

    • @alwaysanotheradventure
      @alwaysanotheradventure  ปีที่แล้ว

      I felt the jersey and the jacket were both a bit saggy. I think it’s the material has less stretch so is cut that way to accommodate having stuff in back packets.
      I’ve been using my OMM classic loads too but this does have the edge for me.

    At 2:40, is that shadow of your drone to your right the new Hover X1 you demo'd in one of your last vids?

    • @alwaysanotheradventure
      @alwaysanotheradventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No - i didn’t have the X1 when I shot this. If you can see a shadow it’s the DJI mini 3 pro. More versatile than the X1 but also bigger. You can see the controller stuffed down the front of the jersey causing a lump - that’s not my gut!

    Much as I like their outdoors kit this gravel range is silly expensive. Looks nice but plenty out there at more sensible prices.

    What pedals are you running on the bike? They look like combination pedals, but low profile!!

    • @alwaysanotheradventure
      @alwaysanotheradventure  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well spotted!
      There are two different bikes in this; the blue Vielo V+1 has pretty crap PlanetX pedals (www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/PEPXFLF/planet-x-flip-flop-spd-flat-double-sided-pedals) that are heavy, a bit stiff and starting to rust. I keep meaning to remove them.
      The titanium Camino has much better Sonder Jeckle pedals that I took off the Vielo for the Torino Nice Rally (alpkit.com/products/sonder-jekyll)
      I'll have to get another pair of those. I like the ability to use the bike with normal shoes just to nip to our village shops, and when out in wild places, to disengage for any particular gnarly bits.

    ..."and won;t suit everyone" to why there are so many retail businesses. Humanity has the basic emotions which we all have in common, but when it comes to choices and personal preferences...this is where we differ.

    I love Rab clothing. £100 for a short sleeve cycling jersey is taking the piss.I do not want stuff sacks sewn into a pocket, the stuff sack stays attached to the backpack. I question the rational behind Rab venture into cycling kit. For backpacks Osprey or Montane

      It’s yarn from which the jersey is made. So yes the yarn is made from coffee grounds and the jersey is made from the yarn. Doesn’t quite fit a YT caption though…

    So sad that here in india we didn't get quality products. Everything has to be imported and that's really pricey. Anyway as always ❤

    • @vinay4886
      @vinay4886 ปีที่แล้ว

      True. These are super expensive in India after adding all the customs and postage costs.
      But these are premium products and £180 is a bit steep even for the UK market!
      And £100 for a t-shirt?! 😮

    Every single company in the cycling world should offer a high vis option. Some helmet companies ensure they do so why not so much clothing ones.
    The comment is a general point before everyone watching this channel gets confused. There is a general lack of quality higher vis kit on the market. It’s not meant for endless other comments.

      Why?

    • @davidalderson7761
      @davidalderson7761 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@enduranceadventurez are you some sort of troll. Not being rude if your not. But the vast majority of cycling is done on roads where cars don’t really give a toss about cyclists. So a cycling company should offer high vis kit so cyclist can mix and match items to be seen. Maybe dark clothing but a high vis helmet. ( I doubt anyone would want to wear a motorway maintenance luminous outfit head to foot ).
      Why ? Hello ……

    • @grahamriley8124
      @grahamriley8124 ปีที่แล้ว
