I picked up a 1973 O'day Javelin on trailer for $150. Son wants the trailer, so I put boat up for free with no takers. Was going to chop up the boat and take it to the dump, but may see how your rebuild goes.
Thanks for the views and comment, I appreciate it. I'm hoping to get her back in the water next season so you may have to hang on to yours for a little while :).
Looks like a big but fun project
I'm hoping to learn a lot of skills I've always wanted to try.
That's a huge project you've picked up tK, good luck with it.
Thank you, I feel like I've prepared my mind as much as I possibly could. Time to see how that pans out.

I just bought a 1965 model. I think yours is nearly that old.
I can't wait to she her finished. I need to do that to my 1968 Day sailor. Did you ever find out what year yours is? Mine look exactly the same.
I did! Still need to record a sit down video where I go over all of the details but she's either late '63 or early '64. Most likely early '64.
Turn that shit into a speedboat
Yikes. Just send me $5000 and I’ll send you a nice Daysailer ready to sail.
Shoot, even $1500 would net me a lot better condition. But then I wouldn't have a project to learn from.
