In my experience nearly every conversation around added $ value (cost savings, additional revenue, etc) is a difficult conversation with business users. The temptation to exaggerate $ to get their projects approved or moved up the list of priorities is too great. I can count on one hand the number of times business users objectively measured $ value out of the gate on my projects…especially when working with them for the first time
