Great ideas :) I don't think we will be able to add this exact feature on version 11.0, but we have some nice updates for the cue points feature on this upcoming update :)

The way I see it is, if your key detection is better than rekordbox and I buy this program over theirs for that, then I see no reason why your cue placement system can't be better than theirs as well, being able to adjust how it sets auto hot cues would be a game changer and would bring a lot of people to buying the program as a feature like this is £15 a month over in Rekordbox😦
"sometimes" well... unless MiK learns song-structures of an infinite no of genres/specific songs 'features' (skipping beats, uneven breaks etc pp) I'll keep doing my loopz/cues manually... however I DO use MiKs cue/export function to get a quick entrypoint from which I do my own thing. ;) *cough* peek at my decks in my chan *cough* 🔥

@@mixedinkey I don't keep a record of tracks whose keys I have manually specified. However, the UK record label Anjunabeats publishes the keys of their songs. I suggest analyzing some of the tracks on their label known to be in a major key and comparing analysis of the radio edits vs the extended mixes.
I'm wondering if Odesi is still active and all. Seems like the perfect tool for me to practise theory. Been using Hookpad so far but looking for something a bit more than Hookpad, but not as complicated as Ableton.
Yes, Odesi is still working great. We haven't updated in a while because we've been developing other software, but it works great, even on newer OS versions :)
Energy estimations are completely useless because they are wrong all the time, same with cue points, too many and in the wrong places, work on that please.

I don’t know if he means ‘fully preparing tracks without the need of external DJ software’ like #Traktor. Now we first have to let Traktor do the analysis, then cue point markers and tagging etc. in MiK. I personally experience that as a cumbersome way of working. Why can’t we simply add a new track to MiK, do all prep work in your software and export it to the library of the different platforms and keep both in sync? Or is it me doing something wrong…? 😅
@@mixedinkey just like a dj software, not just cue point but cue loops, stems analysis & split, remix points, Playlist, basically just like what VDJ/ Rekordbox can do but you do not have the dj function. Capable of fully preparing your track/ set in MIK and just upload it to whatever software you use for djing. That would be incredible. 1 software to unify them all.

I have trouble understanding which product I should get. I want to find the key of samples in my DAW but also of individual chops. Let's say I chop up a sample of a piano chord progression and want to know the specific key of that one chopped chord. Can any of your products give me the key for that?
You should check Mixed In Key Studio Edition: mixedinkey.com/studio-edition/ You can find the Key of your samples inside your DAW in real-time. It's the perfect option for what you are looking for :)

One thing I would like an improvement along the new features is a better bpm algorithm.... lately some of my new songs are wrong on bpm when mik analyze them.
Am I the only one having problems with the current version? When loading songs in MIK the Programm starts to stutter then the song plays but I can’t see the waveform as well as the cues which got placed automatically. Furthermore MIK shows me that it has added cues to the songs but when I export them to my xml file it changes nothing. Tried to reinstall but it’s just the same problem.

I have heared tha mixed in key can give you the correct results on musical key up to 85%. I still see producers on youtube trying your software and telling on the camera that is far away the results of your app than the original key they produce the track.
That's weird, can you please share a link to one of the videos here? Our key detection is the most accurate in the industry year after year based on independent research. So, it's weird that they are getting the wrong results when analyzing the files with our software.

What it needs most is better major key detection. It tends to error more with extended mixes than radio edits. So, perhaps analyze the middle portion.

Hey, you should be able to do that by sorting the column where you tagged the Key info (i.e. Comments), and it will sort by the Key info :)
