I don't like exaggerated specs and I'm thankful for you guys testing and showing the truth of the products, NOT the fake max # . Your efforts allow me to know what I'm getting for real and that's how I can build budget systems that sound top tier . Thank you
I have 2 of these amps in my wrangler right now, pushing 4 ds18 6.5's, 4 ds18 3in tweeters, and 2 ds18 horns. It surely gets loud, however, the amps like to get hot at 2ohms. Ive had to add a lot of fans to keep them running. That being said, they are coming out in the next week or so as I upgrade to better amps. I simply used these to prove that you dont have to go broke to be loud. Which ive pushed 112.6Db with this setup and 2 kicker 10's, 2kicker 12's and 2 planet audio mono block 1500w amps. Again, this was simply to show some local guys who spend a lot on gear and have them poorly installed, that all the money in the world isnt going to make you loud with stuff that isnt properly setup. I am happy with 112Db using Planet audio amps. If you choose PA amps, just be sure to have them well ventilated, or add in a bunch of fans to draw that heat away.
I have a planet audio tt2600. Seems like a really good and well built amp. Would love to see what it would do on the dyno. Has all new caps and power supply/output.
I use to have those sony book shelfs. I had the full set towers, books, center. I liked them but crossed them at 120 and used a velodyne 10in sub. Yamaha receiver. All that stuff got ruined in a flood unfortunately.
I'm running two planet audio 15 inch anarchy subs with a properly adjusted power acoustik rz1-2500 mono amp in my 33hz tuned 6"ported 2.95 cu.ft.net. each chamber enclosure and its brains over brand , it sounds Great and slams ! clean and deep on ALL genres. I don't expect 2500 watts but 700 watts rms at Wal-Mart $100 . Thank you dyno tester truth tellers!
The decimal is in the wrong spot it's supposed to be 160.04w max. I can say those a/b planet audio amps are tough, I had a TRQ1500 years ago and it would not die, it would slide out from under the seat and I would kick it back under with my heel, it got water, coffee mud dust it would not croak, that was the one that had two 3/4" steel rods for length of the amp hidden in the heat sink now that's cheesy.
I've got the 1500 watt took it apart and has basically the same opponents as the really old school pyramid amplifiers if so it is really horrible to rework a pyramid and put a new sticker on it I know these things because I still have new transistors to replace the ones that this amplifier has from a repair on a pyramid way back in the day
I'm not trying to sound like a total beginner but, for fun last year I bought the 8 inch anarchy sub and that thing genuinely surprised me. Not because it sounded good or had good musical quality but it handled a good amount of power. I think it's actual rating is like 150 watts RMS and I threw around 400 watts to it. Eventually I killed it putting 700 to it, but it took the abuse like a champ.
@StickMan Productions It's just something about the cheap subs they just take alot of power. I had a rear loaded horn enclosure tuned to 42hz as an experiment and I would just play 20hz test tones full tilt to the sub and it would take it
@@Az56818 lol their subs aren't good but that little son of a gun surprised me. It took a beating it was rated at either 600 or 1200 can't rmr rn. But that doesn't matter because it's still way over what it should be rated at. I would say 150. Some good xmax from that driver too
If you absolutely must buy Planet Audio, get their BB or Big Bang series. Still won't do the ridiculous wattage they claim but, much better than their entry level junk.
Hard to tell from here what it actually sounds like. But for $105.. .. I'll take your word that it sounds meehhhh. I'll assume all amps under $250 sound meehhhh.

What Planet rated this amp? Was it the Marvin the Martian dude from Bugs Bunny? I mean fo sho. They even put RMS on there now 🤦♂️
Remember the days when planet audio made tube amps and good we'll rated amps . Miss those days. Always wanted one those tube amps
I think the gravity effects rms power output…
@@HifiVega lmao
It does say up to so lightning might strike
It has those Boss ratings yo
Check indeed. Now we know, for sure. Thanks for the content brotha
Thanks for watching!

RMS rating divided by 4 is a good theory to remember on planet audio amps nowadays.
That kicker head unit is badass
Haha is an Axxera AX430 on top of Kicker Key Loc
Awesome video brother!!!
Thanks!
I actually had one of those Planet Audio amps . I sold it a month ago . Try the earthquake mini new generation 1000w . That thing will surprise you
I have this amp picked it up slightly used for 60 it's ok hasn't quit yet but definitely will be upgrading
Nice video my friend Hifi vega
Thanks homie
Yea i would buy it. just to run fronts and rear speakers something cheap. Great video Bro
Thanks for watching

Bummer! They’re decent little bookshelves
Very glad I got the Razor 2500 Power Acoustik amp from Walmart instead XD
Great video man
Appreciate it!

You sho right!
Hey bro, bring the front of the speaker baffle to the very edge of the table so they are flush and your sound-stage will touch the floor 👌
For another $20 a US Acoustics Lisa would blow that thing out of the water!! Another great video buddy.
Wow that US Lisa is that cheap? That’s a deal
I’m bout to buy one to replace my power acoustic
Man even as a young buck we knew when we bought these types of amps that we expected the watts to be less than advertised. Wayy less lol

There’s always a budget gem to be found out there for sure and that’s why I’m always on the hunt

Their subs aren't bad but watts overrated

@@daviddeen12 they're good for their price point I guess would be a better way of putting it
Curious to see the mini Big Bang amps. Granted, they won't do rated but they seem to be well built and are compact.
I don't know this brand. Is it recommended??
I have a Planet Audio ZR 900.1 R/B amp that almost does rated power.
What do you use for loads? I've been wanting to put something together myself.

@@HifiVega thank you! Appreciate it a ton
I'm sure it makes more power then most headunits. For $100 bucks wouldn't be bad to run 4 6.5 coaxial speakers.
It would do a good job on 4 coax
This gotta be decent at running four 100watt rms jbl component speakers right??
It should do alright
Might do 1600 on another Planet🤣🤣
Yeah I think the gravity is holding it back
The sad part is these amps sell because people don't know these manufactures are false advertising their power ratings.

Pro tip
Planet audio Big bang 1200.4 4 channel that amp sounds really good you should try that one out
Friends don't let friends buy planet audio
Haha yo sho right
I believe they added an extra zero when they rated it !!!!
I believe you right!
What radio are you using?
Axxera ADX430 it was a Crutchfield house brand I caught on sale and wanted to test
50x4 RMS

If it's not a zed made planet audio it just isn't worth the time.
Planet Audio? Guessing 1/5 of rating.
Have not even watched it all and I can say no it won't
You’re a wise man lol!
Many years ago I sold a ton of Planet Audio. You couldn’t beat the subs and amps for the money. Now it just seems like straight 🗑 😞😞
Unfortunately
No boi looks cool what a shame need moi gain 😆
Need more gain on the amp
This brand always has cool aesthetics but unfortunately they are only worth putting into a beater :(
I mean… You’re not wrong
