Me and My Botanical - The Gin Guild

Five Gin guardians come together to share their insight into the mystical and magical world of spirit and flavour. Brought to you by the Gin Guild.
Some of the world's most respected gin distillers and experts shared their knowledge of botanicals at a unique event hosted by The Gin Guild as a key part of London Cocktail Week 2013.
The event attracted more than 60 bartenders and experts in the gin trade, including many from as far afield as Athens, Svalbard and Norway who had travelled to the city for London Cocktail Week.
Distillers Desmond Payne of Beefeater, Tom Nicol of Tanqueray, Nik Fordham of Bombay Sapphire, Peter McKay of Alcohols Limited and Charles Maxwell of Thames Distillery spoke passionately about botanicals before taking questions from the audience.
Director of The Gin Guild, Nicholas Cook said: "Being an industry association that looks after the interests of the gin category as a whole puts us in a unique position and allows us to bring gin companies together for the benefit of the industry.
Feedback from guests was extremely positive. We hope to be able to offer many more events like this in the future."
