It is. I got to see him up close at 55 Bar on Christopher St. a few years back w/ Pilc Moutin Hoenig. There were only a few of us in the bar. I chatted with Ari in between sets. He's a super kind person. Very humble, yet an amazing musician.

I don’t think tivon pennicott is part of Ari’s normal working band (which is his trio). My guess is that tivon is either guesting for the gig or sitting in on the tune. So the proper label would most likely be “Ari Hoenig Trio + Tivon Pennicott”
