People really sleep on just how good a vocalist Spencer is. Anyone who has seen him live knows how insane his range is. Kellin is also just a classic 2010s post Hardcore staple vocalist.
When I first heard Sleeping with Sirens, I legit thought he was a woman. So when I looked them up, it really surprised me. Kellin has such insane talent, I love it.
I remember being like “is this a girl or a guy?” and looked it up and saw the singer’s name was Kellin and i thought “ah, cool, this clears up nothing”
First time I heard him was in an MGK reimagining of Swing Life Away where he did the chorus. I started listening to Sleeping with Sirens later and it's been YEARS before I realised it's Kellin Quinn singing in that one MGK song and not a woman.
@@VioPLayable Yeah, I think I knew Kellin was the feature and was already familiar w SWS when I heard that one, i really liked his voice on the Swing Life Away cover/thing. But that was maybe the second or third MGK song i’d heard, back when he was a bit more underground and his connection with the alt/metal/core scene actually felt genuine. Like having Kellin on his track, being a feature on a SWS song, and having Matt and Brian from A7X ft on one of his song.
As someone who's been singing sleeping with sirens songs for more than 10 years. For me, it's way easier singing nasally in order to get those higher notes but I'm a leggero tenor so it's already kinda up there for me.
Sleeping With Sirens & Pierce The Veil were my go tos back in high school, this shit brings me back. I haven't listened to them in a hot minute, but sounds like they still got it!
credits to the person I originally saw this comment from, but they said that Kellin is cursed and blessed simultaneously with a sound that's unique and nobody can exactly replicate but at the same time it doesn't have much variety and almost all of his choruses end up sounding the same either way 14yo me is internally screaming at this and I'm beyond happy with this song
Spencer is my go to example when I explain fry to someone. He’s got one of the mostly fry frys in the game imo but he stills makes it his own and is instantly recognizable
I love kellin's voice but whenever I hear spencer's voice it beats out everyone around him. Just so nostalgic, so amazing. Underoath is one of the very first bands I found that do screaming, and one of the very few that I still listen to out of the list of bands I found at that point in my life.
A skylit drive more specifically Eva the carrier was the first posthardcore band/song I ever listened to and immediately fell in love it with and dove straight into that genre with my drumming
Yo KA, you started the video saying this was the 3rd video of the day. I don’t see the Spiritbox video. Did you review Rotoscope? Love the content keep up the good work and congrats on the album!
I'm sure *someone* has already probably suggested this already, but I feel like I have to recommend doing a video on Dir en Grey because Kyo is best shriek goblin. Something like "Hageshisa to Kono Mune no Naka de Karamitsuita Shakunetsu no Yami" or "Different Sense." And if you decide to do Vinushka like I've seen a few other channels do, I'd recommend avoiding the live recording they all seem to use. The video/studio recording is a lot better. I'd also recommend "拷訊惨獄" (I believe it's pronounced "Goujin Mugo Hitoya" and roughly translates to "Wretched Torture Prison") by DEVILOOF. I've only really seen the title for this track in kanji, soooo... Yeah. I did my best with my incredibly limited knowledge. And Jisho.
I love watching your videos to know more in depth of the serious talent within metal screaming! Perhaps check out ECLIPSE by BRAND OF SACRIFICE? Would love to hear your response! Thank you!
@@KardavoxAcademy yea, it sounds like they took the intro an made the breakdown an just extended a note an made it the whole song, which makes sense Spencer sounds so good here.

Did not expect you to do this song but very happy you did, one of my favourite SWS song of the last while
It's pretty dope!

SAME!! I am so loving this song!!!
PTV just dropped a new track as well and they killed it

That's an interesting statement!
So cool that you did this song!! I’ve been really excited about SWS’s new stuff. Long time fan of them.
That's cool, this song is dope!

They always sound so wet and like they hurt lol. So recognizable and he makes it look easy

Love Kellin 💗
Loved this one man! It was a ton of fun!

That's awesome, thanks for sharing!
We need a song with Kellin & Oli (BMTH) with this energy!!
A skylight drive oh my gosh that brings back some memories 🤣😂
Same here!
You HAVE to do Sleeping With Siren’s Ctrl + Alt + Del. It goes hard!
I'll check it out!
Hey man if you really like them you should listen to with ears to see and eyes to hear if you haven't probably my favorite from them

I did react to Rotoscope, but it got taken down by the label!
@@KardavoxAcademy Aw damn dude I’m sorry. Don’t hold it against Spiritbox they’re re killing it!
0:12 What is the name of the song that plays as a curtain in second
Yaa!!!!
The short at the beginning is even better considering he hasn't been in the band long. Such a good joke.
Nice!
Hey Mark, have you heard Of Machines? They are a really great band that isn't around anymore but I think the clean vocalist is sooo dope.
I'll check them out!
You absolutely NEED to check out 10,000 by Beyond Deviation!
I'll check it out!
Check beyond deviation

I have done a couple of Brand Of Sacrifice vids in the past, but not that one. I'll check it out!
Please do a song with your post hardcore vocals 😂😂
Oh noes...
still asking for that immortal disfigurement analysis. that song and CJ have so much to offer 😭
Is it just me or does this song sound like Returning empty handed by Underoath? Lol.
I'm not familiar, I'll have to check it out!
@@KardavoxAcademy I would kill for some Underoath!

The singer joke was funny because it's true... but that song sucked man
