I never would pile my EVE LF280K cells flat instead of standing right-up how they are meant to be placed (liquid electrolyte won't cover all anode/cathode material).
Would be nice to have a "bring your own BMS"horizontal solution or one where 4 groups of 4 cells are stacked above each other...

Regarding the placement of the battery cells, we can be sure that there will be no situation where the electrolyte cannot reach the positive and negative electrodes if they are placed horizontally.
For example: Huawei brand battery packs are all vertical.
This depends on personal preference. If you like stacked styles, we have many stacked battery packs, you can check out my other videos.

You don’t even compress the cells, leaving a gap under the compression plate. I have seen, on Off Grid Garage, that it is required when cell terminals are not facing upwards, because of gas forming in the cells.
