That Rottie is beautiful. My sister had a Rottie that was 165 pounds and he was absolutely terrified of my 20 pound JRT. He was staying with us one weekend and I actually found him hiding from Jack (the JRT) in the bathtub.
The jack russell is such a fearless dog it's unbelievable... My jack russell stood in front of my 6 Yr old daughter when he was about 10 months old and protected her from a Belgian shepard and gave it a beating... He's my little hero can't think him enough
joseph proctor my female JRT also get very pissed when the male is following her around. Or barking for no reason 🤣🤣🤣 she literally gets angry and come at him and he will immediately stop barking 🤣🤣🤣 She is well trained and older(2yrs) too the male is 4months i just adopted him ,she was not pleased with me.
Saint matthias my Jack's about 9 right now I would love to have her around for another 10 years even 20 would be fine I hope you consider yourself very lucky I do
HAHA never push a JRT too far! I used to take my ol' girl JRT to the dog park. It was like a prison yard. You had the general population yard for the dogs that got along with each other, but I had to take my little badass to the solitary confinement side because she couldn't play nice with others. So I had Kirby, my JRT over in the solitary yard, minding our business. This lady comes up with 2 Irish setters and starts to come in the yard with Kirby and us. I tell the lady "sorry, not trying to be mean, but I wouldn't bring them in here if I were you!" She looks at Kirby and says "What? Why? My dogs won't hurt her!" so I replied "That's not what I'm worried about...I'm worried that my dog will hurt one of yours!" Well, this lady just thought that was hilarious! "That little dog won't hurt anyone!" OK...Don't say I didn't warn you! So the lady opens the prison gate and walks in with her Irish setters. Of course, now my Kirby is on full alert. The JRT has 2 types of tail wags- the first is when she's happy and shows it...her little nub tail will be going 1,000 wags a minute. She actually won a tail wagging contest at a dog show. So you know when its wagging all happy and crazy. Then there's the OTHER wag. This one is where she's on guard and its about to go down...first, her body freezes...then the little nub is wagging...but its a SLOW wag. Just a "ok, I'm not sure about this" wag...well, that's what Kirby had going now that there were 2 huge Irish Setters in the yard. The two setters run right up on Kirby...another big no-no. If she is backed into a corner, shell go at it...no matter what size the others are... tail in defensive wag, fangs bared...I again tell this lady "maam, you might want to take your dogs back out" I can see Kirby reaching Defcon 1...snarls, teeth, tail not wagging at all...its about to go down. Lady says "oh nonsense! they're fine!" and about that time, one of the setters gives a cold nose to Kirby's butt and that's all she wrote...Kirby attacks both dogs and is going bezerk! The setters are yelping and trying to get away so I reach into the melee and pick up my snarling 20lb ball of bad news and get her away from the setters who are now beating a path out of the yard and the lady is furious! "That dog should be euthanized! Why would you have such a violent dog out here! I'm reporting you!" so now I'm pissed...I warned her several times and she wouldn't listen...so I say to her: "look lady...I didn't come to you and insist on bringing my dog into YOUR area...you came over here and insisted on bringing YOUR dogs in this area, even though I told you NOT to...so who are you going to tell? I warned you SEVERAL times to keep your dogs out. Yeah, its unfair. Sorry. But it is what it is.That's why I bring her on THIS side so she can run and play...UNINTERRUPTED. But you INSISTED on coming in anyway. Well, that's what happens. Sorry. " I walked away. I don't know what she expected from me, but when I tell you...over and over...not to bring your dogs in here there's a reason behind it. You didn't listen and this was what happened. Have a good day!
@@frankmullins4379 HAHA thank you for taking the time to read about my pup. Kirby was such a good girl...she lived to be 19 years young and was a fireball all the way til the end. I miss her so much...not a day goes by that I don't think of her. She was actually a really sweet dog too...she was actually trained as a therapy pet too. We would take her to nursing homes and hospitals to visit lonely people who weren't having such a good day. Great story, happy your dog had a good life. Yeah that woman should've listened to you or she should've kept her dogs on leashes to control the distance. As an owner you don't endanger your pets by letting them interact with other animals that are a risk. Big dogs don't always interact well with small dogs, saw a chihuahua go off on a pitbull before.
I have a JRT too and she is wild but smart. Used to hunt foxes when she was younger, now we only play with a ball and stuff :) Out at the park most of the dog owners know her and her temper. She is good with other dogs but when she gets irritated then all the others getting their dogs and putting the leash on :D She never seeks the conflict but when there is one she is the most badass of all :)

I have a Jack. That wasn't an attack, just a friendly warning! So far my Jack has gotten in to it twice with our golden retriever. He got bit over the eye and needed staples the first time. The second time the golden got the worst of it. My Jack wasn't going to share his ball with him! Consequently, mine just got neutered, and the golden is next. We're hoping that will lessen the conflicts. They usually get along - as long as food and toys are kept totally separate. Jax are very sweet and special dogs. Sooo intelligent! My jack loves Rotties and male Pitties .. the more alpha the Pitty the more he wants to follow him around looking for a scrap! However until a few years ago he made it a point to bite every Great Dane and Mastiff he came across.. they probably remind him of the deer he loves to chase but never catch😤.. which is funny because my Staffy wants no part of any deer.
Our JRT,Suzy, is an absolute lady... most of the time. That being said, the neighbor’s German Shepard and Feist came to visit after Suzy’s puppies were big enough to play in the yard. Feist was a bully and grabbed one of her pups. Suzy made him drop the pup and the shepherd took up the fight. Had Suzy completely in his mouth. Suzy turned and bit him right in the eye. Lock her jaw and started shaking him violently. He lost his left eye and the neighbor was mad. Told him get a real dog.

This is a really good video to demonstrate dog body language. You can see the play boy from the rottweiler, and a big happy playful wagging tail. The jack russell's tail on the other hand is wagging from the top only much faster indicating it's about to snap.
The Rottie is on full play mode if he felt threatened I would be a completely different story , I’m the pawpa of 2 Rottie’s u learn how to read their body language ..
The Rottweiler wants to play, the Jack Russell doesn't. The Rottweiler might be somewhat younger and doesn't seem to entirely understand the other dog's body language.

The jack russell's tail on the other hand is wagging from the top only much faster indicating it's about to snap.
that jack is so old he dont give AF
russel terrier is shaking his tail like those japanese fans
IF rottweiler is smart then it will never attack jack russell because it knows They arent so strong
Poor puppy he just wanted a friend then got attack by the jrt it was so cute and Friendly he was cute wanting to play
The Rottie is on full play mode if he felt threatened I would be a completely different story , I’m the pawpa of 2 Rottie’s u learn how to read their body language ..
Pete Ramirez are you Elizabeth Warren 's "pawpa" also?
Jack Russell's are the best, although this one could use a treadmill, he's cute and chubby ,maybe the Rottweiler is providing him excersise
Just goes to show you: In the dog world, it’s all about energy- not size.
the biteforce of a Rottweiller would decapitate the JRT.
First dog to visit Antarctic was of course a JRT who barked at wolfs and polar bears!
The only breed of dog to reach both Poles is a JRT. Never happen again, they're banned now.
No attack, just the senior dog; the Jack, learning the younger dog the Rotty the law of the jungle
2 lovely dogs, our JR was 17 when he had to be put sleep, there a great dog.
Jack: You're going to learn today big dodo!
My rottie puts a paw on small dogs head to piss it off, he deliberately does it to get a rise out of them, he would have fun with this guy.
