It feels like you don’t have a serious business unless you have your own office. Where are you supposed to bring your customers, investors etc. The credibility doesn’t exactly start high if you meet at Starbucks… That’s why I decided to find us an office.
In this video I explain how I got a free office. It was a crazy ride and I never thought it would happen. It’s such a great affirmation of our business idea, that someone is willing to give us an office. In the video I’ll show you how we got there and how you can do the same.

Worth mentioning - there are many different kinds of incubators. Some take equity in your company, some finance through the accumulated rent from all involved, some are sponsored in some way (state, fund, stipend etc.) and are mostly goodwill. Be careful what you sign up for, there's no such thing as a free lunch - well, in the nordics the lunch can sometimes be state sponsored :)

Could you tell about the negative sides of sigining up for an incubaror? Like, what is the incubator asking out of you in return for the work space? And also share your own experience while being in the one you signed up for. Thank you, and you make good content :)

We've had heaps of help and support from our local Chamber of Commerce (Wirral Chamber) and their enterprise hub. They run an awesome setup called pacific sheds. I'll shoot you a link in a bit when I'm not on mobile. It's an awesome collaborative work space which is brilliant for any startup.

Lol, in the Netherlands you pay about 150 euros per month for an incubator. How to get a free office -> move to Stockholm ;)

we have start up incubators in canada but your have to be in certain fields like technology and science.also you are expected to pay around $1500 lol.what a rip off.totally not free,i dont even know why anyone would consider it aside from mentorship that might not even apply to other fields.

@@LetsStartABusiness yup, that's why even if we have a fast growing tech sector here in Vancity,a lot needs to be changed and evolve.and more VCs is needed too.not much money to throw around here unlike in SV.
