    You did your homework, Sean. You were well prepared, and Steve seemed delighted. He even gave you "I don't mind. We can go on..."

    Steve is so enthusiastic. Yes are obviously very talented, but their real superpower is their work ethic, kinda herculean!

    I have seen a lot of Steve Howe interviews but this interview was the best one ever, Very well done Sean and Steve really liked you. It was easy to tell. I thought the ending was sweet when he took the phone call. I believe Stephanie is his daughter. Thank you for this interview!!

    Fantastic interview, Sean. It says something about your interviews when the subject is comfortable to talk about anything with no time restriction. Steve was obviously very comfortable talking to you. Great job.

    Great interview Sean 🎉 can really feel that comfortable vibe and it seemed like he WANTED to talk and not looking at his watch

    I love the song by song guitar breakdown! He used a lot of guitars! And the info behind writing, arrangements, and lyrics is fun to hear!
    Steve talking about reworking parts Billy wrote reminds me of working on the first Story of a Life album and playing your bass lines, Sean. This is an excellent interview, and I can't wait to hear the new album!

    Well done! He was eager to share and keep up with your questions! So much to discuss. We all want complete shows from every tour! I will definitely be checking out the new album.

    This is a FANTASTIC interview. I’m not even a guitar player but I learned so much. The questions were brief but thoughtful and allowed Steve to stretch out. And he gave you so much time! That was cool the only real estate you took up was when you talked about your tribute band, which was a nice touch at the end. Hilarious that he had to go suddenly and so quickly as you were saying how important his music was 🎉 he appreciated it and I appreciate this interview. You can really see the meticulous dedication that still goes into each Yes record.
    Funny that Downes didn’t have much material and it was fine. I actually really like his playing on the new record. It’s one of my favorite things. Kinda New Wave-y and textural.
    Also, we learned that Cincinnati has great vegetarian restaurants, guitar shops and clothing stores and that Yes ❤️s Seals & Crofts.
    And finally, why oh why was Yes so bad at documenting their tours? There’s NO footage of the Drama tour!😂
    Great job 👏

    Great interview! Looking forward to the new album. Still curious why the Jon Anderson/Steve Howe rift persists? I enjoyed Yes (ARW) as well and hope they can do more touring.

    Speaking of archival live releases, why the band has never released the widely bootlegged shows from Roosevelt Stadium in 1976 and Wembley Stadium in 1978 is beyond me. Both are excellent performances with good sound quality, the latter being recorded by the BBC.

      I wondered that too. Those would be the best choices for those tours. It could be a series with cool packaging.

    What he explains about slide playing and pitching is fascinating- he used a visual tuner as a means of training himself

    • @337336324317313306
      @337336324317313306 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The visual tuner is a staple for stepping up your game in wind and orchestral string instruments! Minute changes in air speed or bow speed/pressure will alter pitch so the tuner helps reinforce keeping on the exact same pitch without wavering. It's no surprise it would help for the steel as well.
