What an amazing tune and Hymn to the almighty Mother Nature! Ignites the urge to leave it all behind and Embrace landscapes of omnipresent Ancient wonders and mystical Pagan healing energies! A secret place where we escape from the everyday city life and stress! Embracing the true wonders of this Earth... Untamed and Everlasting... This Natural wonders all Over this world! Amazing work and album! Congratulations on All accounts!!
This video just caught my eye I'm glad I click it! From the first note I knew that I'm hearing something so unique! This is ART I❤Every second of this MASTERPIECE! And I believe that 2025 is going to be an amazing year Atleast I want to believe so!
Bravo Andy and team, I was eager to hear your first fully acoustic piece and it's as beautiful as I imagined it. Looking forward to hold the album in my hands. Cheers! 🍻
I think Saor has effectively always been a full band (except for the debut album?), just not with official members. So it wouldn't really change much. The last song of Forgotten Paths was apparently entirely (including the songwriting) done by 2 musicians from the band Eard and doesn't include Andy at all. Also, a full band would completely screw up Andy's income, so I doubt it'll ever happen. I think the future of music is these kind of projects with 1-2 official members and then hired session musicians to fill the rest of the band, if needed. For better or worse.
Trying to steal Loreena McKennitt fans lol? A bit too cheesy, unoriginal and cliché for my tastes, especially the lyrics. A tune I'll constantly skip on the album. Amidst the Ruins is a 9.5/10 though! I already lived in an ecovillage. A small hippie-style community, "under the leaves" with consensus democracy. Definitely not a dream. Nothing works, everyone is cold, dirty & hungry, psychological issues plague decision-making and social unity. It's nice in the summer when temporary people come by to have fun, but long term, when cold months settle in, it's 90% hard and demoralizing unless you're within a very good community. Sadly, there are deep functional reasons why hierarchical societies prevailed.
@RavenSister666 I'll allow Saor to have a couple soft songs here and there, explore different styles. For example Exile, on Forgotten Paths album was soft, but still had a great unique touch and feel. Even without lyrics, it carried a story. Sylvan Embrace here just doesn't reach Saor's usual quality of writing. A generic celtic cliché song that could have been written with AI lol.
I love Saor, and I generally like ballads. But literally nothing happens here. It's kinda just... boring. Nowhere near as good as Amidst the ruins or any previous songs.
This is like ASMR to me. So soothing!
Makes me want to go out into the Scottish Highlands with a few best mates and a pack of Tennents and just play folk music on a mountaintop
Me too! With a dozen packs of Tennents
I saw them twice for the 70,000 Tons in 2024! I had the opportunity to talk to Andy, a very nice man!! 🍻🤘
I saw them twice as well!

Can. Not. Wait. For. The album.
I am amazed by the magnificent voice of Ella Zlotos!

Embracing someone is taking on new challenges
Is this version of this song from video different than the one released digitally as single? I Iike more this one rather than the one from the single
Needs more blastbeats
I think this is the right time to make Saor a full band, not just one man band.

So....i didn't come here for a skyrim singalong. Kinda a bummer.
Yeah, it's pretty dull.
Disappointed but I get it.
boring as hell
Beautiful, but the first two minutes of monotony have almost put me off.
Whole thing is monotous tbh
White Metal ? Opposite of Black Metal?

First: I like SAOR for many years, I´m happy, that I could see them live once. But: I totally agree with you, I miss the strength, the power...

Spoiler alert: the eco commune "under the leaves" in a failing democracy is just a tent city in San Francisco
100% agreed; I love Amidst the Ruins, and all previous albums, but this is dreadfully dull.
This is the most idiotic comment I've read in awhile for multiple reasons
I don’t know, you guys like this song? it’s harmonically dull as shit, going nowhere. Guardians was the last adorable album by Saor, unfortunately
I love Saor, and I generally like ballads.
