I am so happy that you have discovered BTS....of course my first love is Dimash but, as far as a group BTS is the best. Yup, I am 73 and I am a Dear and I am Army also. I love these young men and I do hope you will do more reactions to them. These guys debuted in 2013 and lived together and they still do...they are like brothers now and a family. The guy on the floor piano is Suga and the guy in the white hat and suit is RM they are both rappers. If you want to get to know them and where they started and the very hard times they had before they became the hottest boy group in the world please react to BTS from nobodies to legends. Their songs ( if you will notice under the Big Hit Logo it says music for healing ) are amazing, their voices are amazing as is their dancing. I hope you will continue with reactions to them. As like Dimash, they are super popular but, also very humble. thank You Peace and Love Oh...RM along with the boys spoke at the U.N. for Unicef which they are involved with along with Armys. But BTS are also known for their lyrics and how they expand on ideas like loving oneself (an ongoing theme from past albums) and they talk about mental health a lot. Try their song(s) Fake Love and Interlude: Shadow. They touch on some deep stuff. Btw Shadow is a rap song by one member of BTS, named Suga.
You should listen to other BTS songs! They have alot of songs with deeper meaning (like tøp). They were often hated by the older generations because they brought up controversial topic in S. Korea (depression, youth, anxiety, self-love etc etc). They really are great artist and they do deserve all their fame, but alot of people are so quick to judge before giving them a chance... Not a fan. The song is alright. It's all pink and catchy. I liked their dancing the most, their movements are so fluid and relaxed. I would give it a 7/10.
This is the second time I heard these guys. They didn't make me want to go back the first time, not really my cup of tea, I'm selective with pop music, and it seemed it was all about energy, glamour and dancing, and I want the voices first of all. But I didn't want to jump to conclusions, as I heard they have deeper songs too, but I also didn't feel like checking them out again by myself. It's catchy, relaxing, it's something I might play in the background while cleaning the house or such, but it's not something I'd listen to regularly. I don't know much about them, but I know they've worked hard to get here, and I respect that. My favourite Korean singer is SoHyang, an amazing lady who sings mostly gospel, she's incredibly good. I'd suggest starting with Arirang, a very important song for Korea about the unification of the North and South. I'd love to hear a duet of her and Dimash. They are pretty different, but he adapts to every type of singing, so it shouldn't be a problem. I hope you'll consider this suggestion.
