@@solsequi930 Let me look. I am trying to map out a safe trip moving from Medford, Oregon to Eagle Idaho sometime this year with a Uhaul.
I’ve noticed that US Route 20 spends the vast majority of its journey paralleling toll roads between Rockford & Boston.
I love the drive from Elgin to Galena
We have US 20 here in Illinois and want to get out of Elgin. It’s real beautiful to up to Galena.

Have you driven it in winter?
I think it was august or september ... you can check the detailed trip videos for more informations
It dosent look like any major passes or any big elevation drops or gains. Is that true?
I think yes. You can check that on my other video where i filmed the whole drive as a timelapse from Bend to Boise and Twin Falls with the gopro.
Is it all semi truck legal
Don't know that. Maybe someone knows it or you have to check it otherwise.
