Once again another great video.

Hi Rick & Pauline, interesting fair as ever.
There were interesting bargains so to see , specially the table with the unboxed diesels that were very good prises.
I couldn't see it that well, but if that black war time Coronation class was the "city of Edinburgh" that isn't that old and was made by Hornby, very good bargain.
And the continental seller, if you let him, he will show you every model he has, so passionate, love it.😂
This weekend there was a very big model fair near to my home town at Genk, it suppose to be the biggest of the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg).
It covers about every aspect, there is in the model industrie, but biggest part are continental trains.
Not really my intrest, but It was a nice day out with a good friend who is passionate about that stuff.
Quite an international audience turned up, also heard some British and American voices.
I think one of the high lights in the new comers was the "flying Scotsman" from Märklin.
And it sells well here, I presume these are collectors who theme is "loco that I love".
For those interested in continental stuff, there where some good secondhand bargains (an average of £90 is a bargain here), but when I compare the prices of new stuff, the British collector mustn't complain at all, if you think the Märklin "flying Scotsman" is expensive , that is a normal prise for a loco in that class.
I guess the prise difference mainly sits in land of production, most continental stuff is produced in Europe, most British and American stuff is produced in China.
That doesn't mean one is better than the other, there both of high quality, but its puur the cost of labor I guess…
My wallet is happy that I collect the British scene🤣…
Cheers, Danny
Hi Danny, glad you enjoyed your local show and yes the cost of production in Europe will have a gig effect on the price but that could narrow in the future. The Scotsman seems popular with modellers and I'm sure we will get a Mallard at some point! All the best Rick
Great video again.
I think I would have gone berserk on those books, that is always one of my weaknesses 😁
Yes I have bought too many in the past! All the best Rick
I seek out the digital sound locomotives when I visit a model railway exhibition!! I have a small layout that runs from a fiddle yard to either Walmington-on-Sea Station or the matching freight yard and shed.
The Austrian narrow gauge steam locomotive is still in use for museum trains on the Mariazell railway. The diesel type is still in regular use on multiple narrow gauge lines in Austria (but is slowly being replaced by DMU's)
For the strange bus design: keep in mind that the engine is located between the wheels instead of on the back, so the floor there is lowered to the vehicle bottom. The extra level only starts after the rear wheels. If you want to ride on one there is one active example in the Sandtoft bus museum, and another one being restored in Aberdeen.
And that Brawa car is even more impressive when out of the packaging... But also very fragile
Hi Ivo, thanks for commenting and I'm particularly grateful for the info on the bus. All the best Rick
Great video thank you for sharing 👍
Cheers Clive.
great vid guys those 37s how cheap were they always entertaining
£25 each. Cheers for watching Rick
cool vid of show you went thanks lee
Thanks Lee.
All my locomotives are Southern Railway steam locomotives. Three of them have sound chips fitted.
Hi both
Forgive me if this has been asked before but who is doing the camera work for you? Nice video
Hi Alan, usually I film the layouts and Pauline films the trade stands. On this occasion our friend Ian was filming. All the best Rick
@@wellchuffedrailwaysok thank keep up the good work
Which model railway show is it? It looks like it’s full of goodies!!
Hi this was the Barnsley show. Cheers Rick
Boomer , you know how to strike an interest in things we seldom model. Great video!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Hi All, Sorry to say, I'm not keen on the 3rd party camera view, it had too many body parts in the way and not enough close ups of the things you were looking at, which is usually your modus operandi .
Hi Malcolm, thanks for the info, we are filming again today and we will be sure to get a lot of close ups. All the best Rick
@wellchuffedrailways Cheers mate, I do look forward to all your videos. I have purchase a few items you have remarked on which I would not normally have been interested in. The latest edition to my collection was the 1978 Hornby Catalogue you reviewed. All the best, Malc
