i've been drunk exactly once in my life and it wound up being blacked out drunk... vowed never to do that again and i've barely drank ever since. it helps that i haven't found a beer or a wine that i like and i tend to only drink at most once or twice a year drinking is actually a pretty big part of korean culture. it's often expected that coworkers will go out to drink (and often grill meat at the same time) multiple times a week after work, usually, but not always, at the suggestion of their boss. they've actually got a pretty nuanced drinking etiquette, some of which got shown in this video (like turning the cup upside down over your head to prove it's empty) and some that got broken (the 3 younger members taking their shots while the eldest was still giving her speech is generally a big no-no) as for mamamoo... these women really don't care what anyone thinks of them, they're always themselves no matter what. solar can't handle alcohol and also doesn't really like the taste, so she rarely drinks much of anything. hwasa seems to like alcohol but is also a lightweight, so doesn't drink much. moonbyul and wheein both enjoy drinking and can hold their liquor quite well. in fact, in the show where she was wearing the dalmatian print coat, wheein said she had to go to dance practice after the drinking party all of these clips were taken from three shows called 'tipsy live', which mamamoo likes to do to wrap up a promotional period. the first tipsy live, where solar had the pink hair, was at the end of "yes i am" promotions and had the girls eating, drinking and playing some games the staff had created for them (some of which later got used on variety shows and became common on those, like the one where they were trying to outdo each other in pitch), the second tipsy live was the rooftop one and it was after "egotistic" promotion. that one also ahd the food and drinking, but the main focus was a board game the girls were playing, with a lot of other games/challenges depending on where on the board they landed. the third tipsy live, them in the restaurant, was after "wind flower" promotion and unlike the others, it was literally just them and the restaurant's owner, nobody else, no games or anything planned. they went to one of their favorite hole in the wall places near their company's building, had a bunch of cameras set up pointed at them, were given the company credit card, told to have fun, and left on their own to do whatever they wanted

Man, I got really drunk just once in my lifetime. I’m 24. It was the beginning of 2020 and I was going through some shit at home for being lgbt. My mom was pushing to hook up with this guy, and I went to his birthday party, but honestly I didn’t want too and I really wanted to forget it and just die, so I drank vodka like my life depended on it and got drunk really fast there. No one could believe I was that drunk. I ended up crying a river and everyone was worried about me, so they took me home lol I don’t wanna do that ever again, and I hope I don’t get to that place where I need to

I'm gonna drink this weekend at my friend's 21st hehe... I'm the same on wines. I drink wine, ciders/seltzers, gin and occasionally vodka, rum and liquers... any type of drink that can be made of those, I'll probably have. ALSO I ONLY DRINK ALOT WITH FRIENDS, I don't drink much or at all on my own... when I'm on my own, I'd rather drink the good tasting stuff vs. alcohols like tequila and vodka, btw... I've never had tequila yet... it's the 1 alcohol I haven't tried
