This is true 19th century Gothic Romance, kids! Written by someone so young! I think it’s one of the most romantic things I’ve ever heard! Honestly! Technically, “Too Sweet” is also very 19th century romance. (Guys today are still using those tactics.) I adore everything Hozier does but to get a #1 hit with Too Sweet rather than one of his more high brow songs says so much about consumers today. Sure! It’s got hooks within hooks! I can’t deny that!
