      I live in a country where you're not allowed to own guns, and should you get a licens to own one for hunting you may still not use the weapon for self defence. I still watch these cqb lessons just for moments like that. He is a funny dude. there's also lessons outside the cqb to pick up on.

    This was very informative. But what about sweeping these doors and hallways with longer ARs? Do you stack on the door barrel up (Seal style) or old school barrel down. I guess I'm hung up on people being in the hallway too long and walking in front of that door. That said, your points were well received.

    Such an amazing video!!! In all the CQB videos I’ve watched, I’ve never seen exiting the building, or breaking contact. Golden! I have questions, though:
    From the camera angle it’s hard to tell, but is a certain amount of muzzling your buddy acceptable in CQB?
    Stepping center and leading with a fully extended pistol into the room seems wrong, but y’all are clearly the experts. I’m just trying to learn.

  • @jamespimentel1794
    @jamespimentel1794 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What do you doif there an obstacle in place were you cannot enter the room that was hidden

    • @JohnUSMC0311
      @JohnUSMC0311 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are different ways to address that. You can push the obstacle out of the way, kick through it etc. You won't know it's there until you get to it bottom line. The key is to try not to get bogged down if doing dynamic entry and clearing, with deliberate it would be alot slower and more methodical. CQB is an imperfect science. There are alot of baseline rules but there is no 100% right way to do it but a shit ton of wrong ways. My two cents worth.

    That rush of adrenaline you talk about @ 12:40 I've seen / heard multiple times as a musician... generally bands play their songs faster live than when they recorded them. This is especially true when the band is on cocaine. I'm wondering if a metronome click in one ear might help ppl pace themselves better? Works for drummers.

    what's the best or good plan of defense during a one or two story late night home invasion if you have children in multiple bedrooms? e.g. hear glass break and heavy footsteps..let's say the alarm doesnt work and you dont have a dog. grab gun and head for the children's bedrooms? hope the kids make their way to yours and hunker down? assault the threat? obviously there is no time to call police. if you're upstairs, i imagine defending the staircase somehow? what if it's a ranch style home and one floor? do I begin an assault or wait until I visualize a threat?

    could you address how to open doors in CQB? I haven't seen it yet in your 1 man or 2 man cab videos

    If the hallway continued further (more interior doors between the door you are entering and the exterior door) would you still use "combat clear" to enter the room?

    Mike, slow is smooth, smooth is fast but you seem to develop a rhythm as you move through the building

    Mike, at 04:07 you averted your muzzle over Kevin's head because you're taller than him but if he were taller, would you avert muzzle by going to position sul?

      Look at how owns did it while moving around Mike.... No he just dropped the muzzle down a bit. I think cops are too obsessed with sul position. It's not that complicated, just don't point you gun at your buddy.

    Awesome to see detailed coverage of step center. The first time I learned about that technique was at an esoteric course. I had never done it before and I've found it to be really useful. Thanks for the good information as always

    Slow, is 3. Smooth, is 2. Which equivalates to 1: Fast. Is like Water...FLUID. Fluid is efficiency. Practice and FLOW!

    How can I criticize? Seriously, your muzzles are constantly pointed at each other.... Flipping and sliding and 1/2" error, someone gets shot, friendly fire. Impressive and apparently, in real life, this is necessary. Practice and control... Nice, spooky, surreal😦🤯
