Your channel just came across my feed, excellent tutorial! I will use mine when sewing to keep my fabric feeding straight to keep 1/4” sewing seem❤Thank you.
These have been around for a million years. The beaded "pokey tool" was started by bakers to poke the bubbles in the royal icing. Now the ladies and gents are using them for "weeding" tools.
Looks dangerous. My granddaugther would be so drawn to these. She loves bling. But yikes she and my grandson are 4 and 6. No way. Think I'll stick to decorating pens.
I’ve been making pokey tools. I use 14 gauge wire to make my pins. Thanks for your videos they are great. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to share with others.
Thank you soo much Carla!! I made my own while watching you! I love the 1 Step Looper! I saw someone else who said it was a game changer and it is! It makes it soo much easier to create the loops you need for the dangle! I made 3 of these beautiful Pokey Tools and as long as you have pretty beads, a long enough skewer/pokey tool piece (I went to 2 hobby lobbys to get mine! They were sold out at the 1st one! I suggest ordering them online! The skewers at Stater Bros Grocery store were too short), a little chain a straight loop pin and some E6000 (which is always on my craft table!) you are good to go!! It was soo easy to make! Thanks for posting!!
Hello!! I've seen many pokey tools around UTube but I really like urs! Especially ur purple ones!! My fav color!! Beautiful!! TFS! Stay safe an sweet💖💖💖
Carla, before I started this craft, I purchased on line alligator clips and key chains. I need to find just a plain rod. I'm greatful for the turkey squers you showed. Are there any "just rods" that can be purchased ? I haven't found any. I don't want to throw out the clips or key rings. Any suggestions.
I found the turkey skewers back by the deli section in grocery stores. You may find some at Walmart or they may be seasonal. Hobby Lobby also carries longer ones in their jewelry dept. They work really well, too. There are 2 in a pkg. Better deal when they're on sale. Hope this helps.
Why not just use the 6” stick pins in silver & gold! You can get on Amazon! I don’t understand the need for skewers or tools? I make very big stickpins with stickpins!
I love these pokey tools! What is the end piece you put on? I need to find the base so I can make some, as I have a variety of beads that need to be used. Thank you for sharing!
Those are so stunning Carla! Love it! ❤️ How is your ATC challenge going? Will you be doing a video on those? That should be fun so we can see other crafters ATC’s
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing this
So cute, and fun! Thanks!
They’re gorgeous!
Thank you and thanks for watching!❤️
What are they used for?
They are cigar pokers , when the cigar get short you poke it in the side of the cigar and still be able to enjoy the rest of the cigar
Beautiful work 😊
Great job a d a nice variety. I just hot my pins to make some..couldn't make up my mind for beads yet..too many choices.. lol thanks for sharing
Yes, there are so many possibilities with so many adorable beads available! Hope you have fun with this project!😻
Très très jolie merci pour les idees
What was that little cap that was on the end of your tools when you finish making them. Where do I buy those?
What are they used for
New subscriber to your channel. I made one pokey tool, but yours are really pretty.
Thank you so much for joining my channel! I bet your pokey tool is gorgeous!😻
What did you use for the cap.
These are mostly known as cookie scribes. You cannot bead them all the way down because you must be able to hold them like a writing utencil.

Amazon gives a way better deal and you get more in the package. More bang for your buck.
Absolutely beautiful. Your beads are gorgeous, especially the large unusual ones. Would you share where you purchased them?

It’s amazing. I just saw on Amazon that there are 3 different sizes! I think for bigger loops and heavier wire.
