Hey @Oblivion Did you know you can generate electricity with manpower and movement in Rust? You can have slves running around in a hamster wheel like contraption to generate power. Basically, you get the pressure plates, place em as close as they go together in a room, double stacked and when people walk over them it generates power, a tiny amount, but you can capture it in a battery. you can place pressure plates ontop of each other once as well, so you can make this 2x as efficient, as you have 2 layers of pressure plates. you can place the plates very close together as far as i renember, overlappin almost half of the model on another pressure plate. ive seen this before, but not as efficient as it could of have been. Also power generation scales with more people and more space for running around at full sprint, obviously. I hope to see this explored further. Good luck. :) p.s. i can help with the setup of placing the pressure plates if you wish.
i think brit has done a low effort proof of concept video with this. low effort because he had not perfected the placement of the pressure plates as i have tested it further. he just slapped em down willy nilly not compacting it down, and no 2 layer
if placing pressure plates ontop of shelves works you could have 4x layer pressure plates, as they go off thru floors if on the top shelve, theoretically. ive seen traps trigger and cactus traps work this way.
It might be useful for troubleshooting the turret locations to leave the outside wall twig originally. If the turret is hitting a wall it should be easier to see.
I think a better option would have been using frames instead of windows with the pipe tool trick to run pipe up and down to hide what's behind it and that would provide better coverage without anything blocking it and you could always slap on doors later if you needed to protect the turrets. also I would rig up a light to each turret with a timer so when a turret gets a target it triggers a timer for 15 secs connected to a light on each side of the base the turret is on so if someone gets shot you know what side of the base its on
