Way back is frequently on that side Ha! You're exactly correct, this is the 3rd collaboration with Andy! The Super AT Mod was a very limited edition. We never stopped working with AT and drive pedal ideas. Once we started making pedals in our new enclosure we just had to put out a permanent signature series with Andy. The SATM was really an appetizer for this. It's so great hearing you play Shawn, you coax an amazing array of delicious sounds out of the Muse Driver! Thank you!
I wonder if a JHS tie-up for a dual overdrive pedal makes sense in the future A side would be the Muse B side would be the @ Plug that baby into a Halo and voila. All you need is Andy!
Hey Shawn! Hi @robertkeeleytv - I lost my AT Mod in a garage fire mishap two months ago. Would you recommend sourcing one of those or simply grabbing the Muse?
Andy, you and Shawn might want to get together and do a jam for TH-cam, plus trade signature drive pedals. Shawn's Tilt pedal is something truly special. Personally, I would love to see a Shawn Tubbs and Andy Timmons jam.
Shawn, well yes you just kill it again made this pedal sound amazing and your playing is always on point just a great demo I'am sold , will be picking one up next week and thanks for another great video!!!
Shawn-Always enjoy your expert gear demos, & great playing. This one is also great cuz you poked your sense of humor in, & I literally laughed out loud! Added bonus, my man! Just great....Andy, if you read this, ANDY ANDY! What's up brother? !?-
@@ericvinson4628 I thought there was another- did a quick google search and found he had one with GNI out of Brazil- a combo fuzz/distortion pedal. Dude certainly likes his drive boxes (and knows how to use them too!) 🤣
I have Andy's Halo and it's great. I want an OD that lets you have separate settings for rhythm and lead. Right now I use the Wampler Andy Wood Gearbox dual OD which is great. This also sound really nice. It would be great to have a version that lets me use the same circuitry with two switches for rhythm and lead.
I’ve watched quite a few reviews/demos of this pedal and this is by far the best. All the others didn’t do the pedal justice. Ok, now i gotta buy one. THANKS! 😂
Nice Les Paul Shawn and you always have such a killer tone! clear yet punchy,,love it. Also besides being a great sounding pedal, can we talk about how smart and classy Keeley pedals look. Also with the in and out being at the top of the pedal for easier layout on the pedalboard..I mean come on! just awesome!
@@gregmize01 I assume that switch would be for whether its output is buffered or not. I'm talking about about buffered pedal/s in front of it. Germanium transistors quite often don't sound right with a buffered device in front of them. (That is cool that the Muse pedal has that choice though)
@@ShawnTubbs The reason I asked is because I have a Keeley Fuzz Bender which is a germanium fuzz, and I have to put it first in the chain or it sounds noticeably worse. Thinner and brighter. I don't mind putting it first, but it's something to be aware of with a lot of germanium transistor based pedals. That's why I'm asking/No other reason. I love Keeley stuff and have a few of his pedals.
hello shawn ... i was jus wandering: at 6:40 you strum some chords, then switch the muse driver on and play single note lines. quite similar at 7:23 you play chords, dial down the volume on the guitar and play single note lines again. what i would really like to hear is: playing the exact same stuff twice, once before changing anything, then afterwards. then it would be much easier for me to hear the difference. is that just the guitarit´s noodling bias or maybe you just haven´t considered that? or maybe it´s a silly idea of me ...
I have the Super AT Mod. I had no idea it was a limited run, as it wasn't advertised as such. Maybe I missed that? now this? Personally, I don't see much if anything that this adds over that pedal. I love your playing though!
Just out of curiosity, what Keeley pedals do you own? I have an old Keeley modified TR2 and I have a super AT mod on my board. I also have a Halo. Please elaborate. I'm not asking in an accusatory or defensive way at all. Just curious to learn your perspective.

Amazing demo of what looks like an awesome pedal, Shawn - you crushed it (per usual)!

ive never wanted a pedal that I absolutely dont need more than this lol it sounds great
Hi Shawn! It's good to see that you survived the Christmas and New Year period in great shape :) Thanks for the demo!
Thanks so much! My blood pressure might be a bit high but I made it!! Cheers!
Thanks Shawn. Really dig your playing, great breakdown as usual.
Thanks Shawn!! Great review....I am adding this great sounding pedal to my wish list.
Sounds great ! Great sounds !
Excellent pedal. Like the volume roll-back(cleanup) to.

Hello Shawn! Always good hearing you play. Thanks for the video.
Peace, Fred Tibbetts
Thanks so much!
Awesome playing to best demo the pedal! Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much!
Holy crap... how many signature drive pedals (and sig pedals in general) does Andy have now?!
AT least one too few! 😎
@@DirkSchneiderCHI see what you just did there. 😂
3? Haha, thanks for watching!
I count at least 5: JHS @+; Xotic BB pre; Keeley Halo, AT Mod and Muse Drive. I may or may not have 4 of these 5 with the 5th on the way 😅

Shawn loving the playing! Great pinch harmonic with the wammy! Pedal sounds awsome!
RK RK with volume rolled back ?? Great sound

The Muse Driver sounds so good with your white Suhr. The definitive Shawn Tubs test-drive.
Thank you!!! Very thorough.
Superb demo and playing! Cheers 😎
Sweet Shawn! 👍🏼😊
Mommmm….I wanna a new muse driver and a blue Tyler Strat. 😂
Killer playing mate.
I’ve watched quite a few reviews/demos of this pedal and this is by far the best. All the others didn’t do the pedal justice. Ok, now i gotta buy one. THANKS! 😂
Andy Timmons and Keely Electronics? - I'm listening ! Great playing. Really nice sounding pedal. That's what you get from Keeley.
Very nice demo!!!😊
the compression is kind david gilmourish.
Variations for tone shaping tools always welcome
The intro piece when you played the Les Paul was so incredibly tasty!
Really great Shawn! Any chance it'll replace the Super @ Mod on your board?
Thanks. I don’t think I’ll move that Super AT just yet.
Just bought this, can't wait.
Sounds good rolled down
Lotta options. Cool drive
Would love to see an AT mod vs Muse tone comparison
Really nice 😊👍🏼
Amazing playing Shawn. Do you know if Andy is using this pedal to replace his angry Charlie?
No, Andy is still using his JHS @ Pedal. It has a high gain sound that AT loves!
Badass playing
Wow, another Tyler (with a smaller headstock) - is that new? Great playing on the opening track, pedal sounds really good!
That Tyler is an old friend. I sold it back in the day and just got it back. 1999.
@@ShawnTubbs nice when things work out that way!

Appreciate you liking the new enclosures Todd! It took us a little while to implement, but it's so rewarding!

Can't wait for the Muse Drive Deluxe. Wonder Twin Powers, activate!
So Gnar!
Sounds Epic brother. For me it’s an excuse just to hear you play maestro. My favourite player on the planet.
Wow, thanks so much!
Excellent sounding pedal! Does the germanium drive mode not play well with buffers in front of it?
it has a switchable buffer on/off w/i the ft sw.

How different is this to whatever it’s based on? A BD2?
Let's talk about that shirt! Yeah!
Haha, that shirt is indeed cool. I was trying to win a 1982 Celica Supra.. I obviously didn't win the car!! 😅
Did he sneak in some Detroit Rock City between 8:50 and 9:12?
Is this similar to MK3?
It's the same.
Any complaints from the neighbors lately? 😎🤓
Not so far!
Hi,does its high gain
