Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) is an important benefit for Medicaid beneficiaries who need to get to and from medical and other qualifying plan of care associated services but have no means of transportation. Terminal ill patients should not have to meet eligibility nor should the disable.

Subcontracting opens the door to unreliable, uncaring and untrained service. Lfty and Uber does not have the proper vehicles or training to transport these medically ill clients. Medicaid trying to go around paying the drivers a decent pay. What Medicaid charge clients vs what they pay drivers is two different things. All medical visits should be covered.
