    She is a beautiful little girl!! So sweet...glad you shared her with us...just a little FYI...when a capuchin is scratching like that it rarely has anything to do with actually itching. Most of the time when they are scratching like that it is when they are either nervous or excited...they will often do it when around new toys, new people, new situations etc. She seems just a little bit unsure of herself as indicated by her frequently going back to the stuffed animal and clinging to it periodically...she just does that after going out and exploring/playing a little bit to keep reassuring herself...though it's much more ideal that she use _you_ as that reassurance rather than the stuffed animal!! Doesn't mean she is nervous in a bad way...they all do it...not just captive or pet Capuchins...all Capuchins!! 😉 please do lots more videos of her as she is adorable!

      What, based on this video, would possibly make you say that she is doing so well and had adjusted so well?? The only thing she did was scratch continuously, which is what they do when anxious or nervous and kept jumping back to the stuffed animal for security! Based on this video, if anything, one would think she might be quite the opposite

    She's a sweetie pie. I'd love to have two squirrel monkey's but sadly, I don't have the money to purchase them. Would have a boy & girl to avoid any alpha male/female issues, but wouldn't care to breed them.

    • @PrimateProductions
      @PrimateProductions 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You would likely be better off with 2 males when it comes to squirrel monkeys. In the wild males and females do not have any relationship other than when they mate whereas makes do hang out with each other.

    why do they make bird noises

    • @Laura-hf8jy
      @Laura-hf8jy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      5 years old but I will answer anyway! It's to imitate birds when they live in the wild !! Confuses predators ! V clever really !

    • @PrimateProductions
      @PrimateProductions 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Laura-hf8jy no it absolutely is not!! Why do people just make crap like that up and pull it out of their butt as if it were fact? You are attempting to sound knowledgeable but it just makes you look less so...stop passing along misinformation...you obviously know absolutely nothing about these animals!!
      Besides that just flat out not being true it is ridiculous because any predators that would eat them would also eat a bird so they would still come after them if they heard them...ridiculous. 😏

    How do I get a baby like that. I been searching for years.i can't afford over 200 but I have a lot of love and toys and care. I garentee the baby will b so happy. It would be treated like my baby

    • @PrimateProductions
      @PrimateProductions 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well you certainly won't get one with $200! Their price is around $10,000-$18,000. Even if someone gave you one (which they wouldn't) you obviously would not even be able to provide care for it since their food every month would be more than $200 along with very bills, diapers, enclosures, enrichment, etc. There is no species of monkey that is even close to that price. Also, they don't need to be treated like a baby, they need to be treated like a monkey. 😏

    Why does someone own an animal they know nothing about this monkey seems scared to death humans are selfish no matter how much love in the world doesn't compare to a mothers love

    • @misterslats
      @misterslats 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are an idiot. There is ZERO fright depicted in this video. It's a baby learning to crawl - nothing more nothing less.

    • @CH-bo5jw
      @CH-bo5jw 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you seen the way a lot of capuchin moms treat there babies? And depending on how early they got this baby, she may have not even had time to bond with her birth mom. To this baby the human is her parent. She’s simply learning how to get around in this video. Also, sticking their tongue out is a sign of affection, which she’s doing a lot in this video.

    • @PrimateProductions
      @PrimateProductions 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      How could you possibly say they know nothing about this animal?
