    So this is where the legend was born! Lol! I've watched so many of your videos to help me in my picking journey. It's nice to see that you we're once a mere mortal like the rest of us! Keep up the good work Lock (Not So) Noob!

      @@LockNoob I honestly disagree, I learnt SOOO much about lock-picking from your earlier videos because you weren’t as experienced as you are now. I like how I can understand it from the perspective of a person with relatively similar lock picking skills.

    Great review, I have the 1510 witch is similar with a few less picks. The snake rake is also my favorite pick. Thanks for the review.

    Awesome. You're my favorite lockpicker on TH-cam. I absolutely love your videos. In fact I watched your videos first and then got hooked and got my own set. Actually I'm only into it for a few weeks.
    I think it's funny, that I found out that you started with the C2010 just like me, although in your beginner set video you didn't mention that. RealIy like the set, we'll see if I stick to it for long. Sometimes the picks seem a little to thick for my locks. I'm from Germany, so also picking tight key ways.

    Bosnian Bill's channel led me to this one. Subbed yesterday, then started at the beginning. Typical left-hander's OCD means I've a lot of watching to catch up on... Thanks. I think! 😉

    Oh dear, what took me so long to watch the first of your videos. 🤣
    Great videos right from the getgo.
    I had a couple of laughs at memories of finding myself in the same positions as you did back then. And to this day i think this kit is *the* single best kit for beginners:
    No, it's not the cheapest, but as far as affordable sets go, this has probably the best selection for someone starting out. Sure, later down the line many pickers do settle on only a couple of picks, but a beginner probably won't be able to tell which ones.
    I did extend mine btw. with the Sparrows SSDeV hooks (in .025) and the Sparrows and Dangerfield TOK tensioners.

    What were those prybar tension tools from? The ones where they have a step on the end?

    • @LockNoob
      @LockNoob  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello, I got them here:
      uk-bump-keys-ltd.theshoppad.com/#/product/4pc-flat-pry-bar-tension-wrench-set
      The Mad Bob pry bars are better, but I use both sets depending on the lock.

    I received the set in the mail yesterday - Opened it up and saw that they had packed 2 pieces of all of the hooks, balls, city rake, but non of the others. In short.. Someone who was tired grabbed a set for the left side of the pouch, and then one more of the same and put it in the right. Let's see how Southord and UKBumpkeys solve that mishap - how long it takes etc.. Besides that, the ones I received feel O.K. and I'm sure I will be happy with the set (as addition to my Mad Bob's Ghost Pro) once I have received the right picks. :-D What have they been drinking at Southord? :-P

    • @LockNoob
      @LockNoob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wow, that's the first time I've heard of that error. Good luck getting it sorted :-)

      Thanks. Replacement set was sent the same day I sent them a mail. Will arrive in Denmark one week later. Looking forward. B.t.w., great service from UKBumpkeys, chapeau. Looks like some minutes with 2000 grid sandpaper for each pick and a few extra minutes to round the edges of the handles and they could be perfect.

    • @LockNoob

    I believe, You said the kits good for European style locks? does that mean the kit does not do well for US locks?

    • @LockNoob
      @LockNoob  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Quite the opposite, it’s bigger picks that are ok for the wider Americal locks that don’t work so well In Europe 👍

    Lol, reading through the comments, seeing a lot of other people have had the same idea I have; watch the first video(s)!
    I suspect the reason you cringe so much is because of how far you've come - not only as a picker and subsequent designer, but perhaps most of all, your framing and video presentation skills. Or, perhaps I'm way off! Either way, it's honestly not that bad! And you can tell you already had a very good grasp of pick geometry and function.
