USA has insanely wide selection. If only one could combine your selection with our rules! It's weird that you can purchase assault rifles, but Kinder eggs and over 500g are out of the question? In Europe 2000g is usually the limit for consumer level cakes, but some importers have found a loop hole: They put multiple 500g cakes inside a single box. Curiously reserve fuse of previous cake is always right next to the main fuse of next cake. Curiously these boxes come with aluminium tape that is incredibly handy if you want to connect fuses. I wonder if this kind of setup would be legal in USA since all cakes would be 500g max and they are not connected at the factory? Biggest "Selection Box" I've seen in Finland had almost 5000g in total.
Ps. The cake in this video is categorized as F4. It's professional-level firework, but somehow people in Netherlands seem to have these?

What a nice cake! I wish we'd have such a big black market with those giant cakes and shells here in Germany. Afaik the dutch black market for fireworks is outstanding so you don't have to care about the new laws.
Unfortunately I don't know anyone in the Netherlands who loves or sells these products.

The law says 25 Kg max. Well, there are loads of compounds that can be bought perfectly legal in every single shop over here. This not the biggest one, the heaviest one I knwo is a variation of this one and weighs 88 Kg.

@@jaysimoes3705 Which country do you mean by saying "over here"? The Netherlands, Germany or somewhere else?
Over here in Germany you can buy very nice big compounds, too. But only Cat. F1 and Cat. F2 stuff (with little but exaggerated bs restrictions) is legal.
In F2 firecrackers only black powder is allowed (no flash powders), for example. If you know how to you can substitute them absolutely legal by using P1 bangers that are still legal and can contain up to 10 gr. of flash. The newly produced P1 bangers have a noise limitation meanwhile. It's the same noise limit that's also legal for F3: 120 dB @ 15 m. But you can still buy/ import and use the earlier produced harder ones of Cat. P1.
A bad joke is the German NEC restriction for F2 firework rockets: only 20 g.
These were all restrictions regarding F2 firework products in Germany. Much more than enough in my opinion. ;)
Also in my opinion Cat. F3 fireworks should be perfectly legal like F2. Meaning: everybody should be allowed to use them without any kind of licence.
Without going too much further into details I describe now how to legally get F3 and F4 products in Germany...
If you want F3 stuff you need to apply a special licence. After some background checks you will get this licence if you aren't a criminal or a danger for society.
This particular cake in Eindje Pyro's video belongs to Cat. F4. You can get a licence for this category after a short qualification process and if your background check is fine. But the laws for pyrotechnicians are very strict which isn't an actual problem if you are fine with those laws.
The laws and restrictions for Cat. F2 in the Netherlands are unfortunately heavily restricted meanwhile. That's really not funny. If I'd live in the Netherlands I'd give a total f* to these laws, too.
And now: it's finally the end of this comment. ;)

I know the German market quite well and have been buying fireworks over there too since especially the smaller cakes can be had at Lidl, Edeka and co. for low prices and it is funny to shop like that. I know about the license too etc. But thanks for your effort!
I fully agree with the stupid restriction on F3 fireworks. We had some F3 fireworks over here (that is: in NL ;-)) until 2020. Single shots etc.
I now realise this is indeed F4. I was fooled by the name, since we have 500 times 30 mm 10 Kg NEM compound that is legally F2. th-cam.com/video/1FljAmGmn5Y/w-d-xo.html This one is 88 Kg with 10 Kg NEM. But of course it lacks 38 and 50 mm formats (although there are of course F3 30 mm compounds etcetc).
