Some games they stomp but reality is you cant outplay bad teammates. Ive had plenty of games where i outplayed the enemy team and finished with 20-30 kills and only a few deaths. In other games its close as can be. In other games its hopeless and no amount of skill can trump your Allies repeated errors. I dont doubt youve had stomps, but i have 10 years experience playing at all mmr from 0 up to 4.2k and ive seen players at both ends of the spectrum that should be at the other, and its often enough that I can confidently say matchmaking and solo mmr in particular is not accurate. The top 1000 players ranking is obviously less tainted by boosters and smurfs and is more accurate and is a reasonable representation of skill... But even that isn't a true reflection of individual skill. In theory, a 3.5k player should be able to win at least 90% of the games at 0-500 mmr but thats just not the case. @@BrandynQuigleythe reality is you don't need a 80%+ winrate to climb and that's just not how it works in Dota. But a high mmr player will tip the scale to win 60%+ of the games in that low mmr that makes for a noticeable mmr climb of 50 mmr per 10 games. Also while a low mmr player can pull and stack and smoke, they do so at absolutely stupid timings and moments. Or stack one or two camps in the whole game. It's many small details that add up to turning a 50% winrate into a 60% winrate and climbing up. The thing that tilts me the most is that people don't play to win. The amount of games I lose because people feel forced to take all 3 racks before killing the ancients or think killing the enemies in the pool is better than attacking the ancient is horrible. If 1 out of 10 games is lost because of that, that's the difference between a 50% and a 60% winrate! Also everyone got bad games where they play way below their average for whatever reason.
This is exactly correct, I have lost countless games where my offlane or mid feed 15 deaths in less than 10 minutes is not by any means easy to carry. This is around the 3.8k-4k bracket.

Hey! Kinda new to the channel and dota. I have 200 unranked games under my belt with about 40% win rate (pretty bad). I am too scared to play ranked. Should I just try ranked or keep practicing first?
You get as good as who you play with. If you have 40% winrate, you're lower mmr than the game currently has assigned. Regardless its irrelevant. Ranked and unranked are honestly no different except you get to see the number. But if you're curious, ask your teammates and enemies their mmr or look it up. With 200 games you're fresh/new. Ive honestly never seen anyone in ranked with less than 300 matches, but ive seen good players with 300 matches played.
The point with low rank carry is they don't play their game. They always involved in some unsolvable math equation and fucked up their farming speed and timing. Low rank support too, they don't or never enable their carry even if that's not a scaling hero such as Ursa, Huskar or Slark, etc. They don't abuse their timing, and carry don't play their game. They just fight with 1-2 items and their itemization is always wrong. First item you need is for farm speed, if your game is winning, the second item is survival item because you're winning, the way your enemy can get more farm is by killing you. The third item is to kill. These survival and kill item can be reverse depend on winning or losing. If you're losing, the only way you can get more farm is by killing them. After that, every item is based on situation and if your hero like to play around the map by catching or by split pushing. Just say that it's a teamfight item. Pipes, Greaves, Crimson or even Boots of Travel can be considered as a teamfight item too. The point is, don't play their game, play your game, stack by yourself if your hero can farm stack and hit the right timing to snowball the game out of control for enemy.

1)Don't defend your tower if you are at risk of dying as a carry 2) Don't leave safelane if you can't clear ancients most of the time 3) Put pressure on the tower and participate in team fight
