I would love to hear some thoughts on working from home as a travel agent vs. opening a storefront office? I just started working as an advisor for a Dream Vacations franchisee and would like to know which path is better.
Hi There! Great question. Either way is doable. I will say from experience, we did have a storefront at one time but it is an added expense to rent out a space. Most of our calls ended up being over zoom with the occasional client popping in. The plus side of having a storefront is people drive past & think "Oh wow a travel agency, we should look into them for booking our upcoming trip". So the marketing is great on that front. In todays environment (unless you prefer in person), I would suggest running your agency from home & think about storefront as an option later on once you have an established agency.
